Rob Hulse £3m.?

PSR

Geoff Thomas
Couple of today's tabloids are talking about "Our Nigel" trying to cut the wage bill over at Prideless.

Rob Hulse now up for sale (£3m) along with the rumours of "Pie Man Commons" joining Wigan.

Also reporting that Carrol is on £25k. p/w & Savage on £30k. p/w

Seems like the parachute payment is quickly running out.

The evidence of this is surely the amount of lower & non-league players being brought in and rumours of the high earners being shipped out.

£3 Million for Hulse would be ok but that would really signal someone going out...wouldn't argue with the signing but the money could be spent elsewhere.

Pretty much common knowledge that Derby are trying to cut the wage bill after a disastrous couple of years.

Not heard the 3m figure for Hulse though and I don't believe they'll get it if true - a lot of money for a distinctly average player. I also doubt they'll get the £5m they want for Commons.

Didn't advocate that we buy him.

I thought that one of the first things Clough said was he had a big job to sort the squad out, or words to that effect

Hulse is a cracking player i'd love us to sign.

I rate Hulse, but not £3m. Anyway if he's sapping Derby's wage bill then I say don't sign him at all costs so that he wastes all their money :D

Hulse is about the same standard and not to dissimilar to Blackstock for me. I'd be suprised considering the age difference if they got any more than £1.5m-£1.8m for him.
