RIP Peter Higham

I was sorry to read on the Forest site that Peter Higham has died at the age of 95. He was a decade or more before my time but until recently his family sponsored a match every year to maintain his connection with the club and I believe I’m right in recalling that the accompanying editorial in the programme would mention that he was believed to be the oldest surviving Forest player. Which of course makes me wonder who now holds that accolade…

RIP.

That's a good question. John Barnwell turns 88 in December, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's one or more older than him who are still with us?

There’s a player I personally can’t remember ( I’m a mere beginner here, only started supporting Forest in 1966) Dennis Mochan, who is 95.

I remember him well mate. He was a decent left-back for us in the early-60s. That's a good find.
