Rico Lewis (BUPA)

I was watching him off the ball and he was running in reverse for 40 yards looking to be put in or to set someone up with a wall pass. He would bring an intelligence way way beyond his years and imagining MGW, Elliott, McAtee and co bouncing off him....Christ.
Yep this is why he would start most games alongside Elliot. His quality on the ball is clear but it's off the ball where he really excels

I reckon we can move Schira up the journo league table and drop Fabrizio down one category.

Schira has been spot on with all our activities this summer.

This would be fantastic signing, come on Forest get it over the line.

The recruitment of all these younger top quality prospects is fairly amazing really, to add Lewis to that group, what a statement that would be….
It’s to me as well. It wasn’t long ago, our strategy revolved around signing 30+ has beens, who didn’t give a toss anymore

He'll be expensive and I'm in the camp of 'get it done' as well. Fantastic player.
Yes , but the price will only increase

First Team Squad
Cementing MGW and contracts sorted for the first team = Damned good job!

Bringing in Jesus, Cunha, N'doye, Hutchinson and McAtee = Amazing

Possibility of both Luiz and Lewis AND maybe even more = Holy Mackerel Batman!

100% agree! I'm all for it.

Forget all this buy back worry, if it's the price of business with City right now, so be it.

They're not selling us cloggers.
Just to throw in a bit of a different perspective with the buy back thing.

Yes, I have no doubt that McAtee wants to do the best for his career, but he's already been at City, and he's already experienced City.

Now for all the money and prestige and all that that comes with a club like that, none of us know how much he enjoyed it or didn't enjoy it there. He might have thought it were alright, but he might have got fed up with it too.

Now if he's come to Forest and he absolutely loves it here, has a great crack with the lads, find some fine slappers, and just beds in, he might not fancy going back to City. I mean, Manchester is a f***ing shithole. It is a f***ing poison laden shithole at that. He doesn't necessarily have to move back to the area I guess, but he might have just had his fussy with City anyway. And we're not exactly an unambitious club either.

So yes, the buyback thing, I can see why it concerns some people, but I think there's often less danger of a player going back to an old club than there is in moving on to a new one. Especially when the area around it is Waankchester.

Player wants to move and City must have made it clear they are open to sell, it’ll be similar parameters over buy back and sell on clauses etc.

He’s worth it, can cover both fullback positions as well as CM.

The buy back was perfect for the keeper Trafford. But outfield players….not so sure it matters, are City going to buy McAtee back for 50m say ? Highly doubt that, they’ll buy some 20 year old wonder kid instead.

Lewis and Mcatee would probably be kept if they had more physicality. They are both technically brilliant players, good enough for city in many ways. But city can afford technically brilliant players who are also physical specimens so if they can offload these two lads for a lot of money it enables them to have the wriggle room to do that now they have to abide by the rules more carefully.

If Lewis turns in to the next kante, they have the option to get him back. But as you say if he just turns in to a good prem player it is u unlikely.

I too think that buying these youngsters with potential which is already being realised is brilliant tactics and surely one which will pay dividends.

Plus gaps are being neatly filled if they all come off.

Let's hope for the best and it all comes good. I said "white rabbits" three times in the 1st August before I said anything else and that always turns out well!

the Guardian saying that he wants to stay at Man City
He might - but if City want to reduce the size of the squad, he might not have a choice.

Still, would be an insane signing to get him here so I'll believe it when I see it.
