A bit of Blue Square banter involving AFC Wimbledon, Gateshead, Histon, Wrexham and York`s Richard Brodie who is set to move to Sheffield Wednesday or Nottingham Forest for a pile. Steve Evans has yet to spend a hundred grand this week although Luton will let him know about Kean tomorrow. So without further ado the latest and greatest from the BSP - the League that likes to say You bet.

York City look set to lose Richard Brodie with Sheffield Wednesday edging Nottingham Forest with a six figure deal plus add-ons the likely outcome. Former Hereford United and Shakers shot-stopper Wayne Brown is in talks with Wrexham, the free agent is set to have another chat with Dean Saunders this week.

I'v heard of him,i buy the non-league paper every sunday to keep an eye on ex-forest players who are in non-leagues,likes of swd, nicky eaden, etc.

He's finish the BSP top goalscorer last season, been linked with afew league clubs.
worth a try i'd say. some even say he's better then Mclean,MCS,and DJ Campbell when he played non-league football.

he knows where the net is.

He's the best in non-league at the moment,im glad we forest are starting to look at that level, some good strikers have come from it latey.

Swindon Austin came afew leagues lower but if shows striker/players can be found that low. most of the better ones would also jump at the chance at league football.

Someone else we're linked to that probably has sod all basis in fact. :nowink:

kris boyd will rip this league apart though . but i agree with you once you think about it the players are mostly shite . but all we need is a left back and mabey another mid? and were sorted

Kris Boyd will probably do ok but i don't think the SPL is as strong as the champiionship and i don't think fiddlesboro are all that anyway especially with a ginger twat like strachan in charge

If this is true, Im guessing we have given up on Whittingham, Pratley and Shorey? :')

Couldn't agree more Big Jay. The top 4 in Scotland are Championship standard and the rest make up the numbers. You can see this in the players they sign and where they go.

To be honest, I feel a little disappointed for Kris Boyd for going to Boro. If he did have more options on the table then he made the easiest move. Big fish, small pond and all that.

I loved the press conference for this signing though. Strachan described Boyd as one of the best strikers in Europe. I think someone needs to lay off the whiskey!!!

Really? A relegation battle, with more or less the same team that finished THIRD?!

More or less the same team that only managed 2 away points since January too.

played 46 league games and finished with the 3rd highest points total, it doesn't matter when the points came over the season we were the 3rd best team

OK if you're OK with 2 points out all those away games and those play off semi final performances that's your call.

I'm not. The team as it stands is weak.

of course i'm not happy with 2 away points from January but the season goes from August to May, obviously we need to improve our away form and i'm sure a couple of quality signings will do this.
I certainly don't think we will be in for a relegation battle if we start the season with the same squad, i can't see too many sides better than Forest in this division.

We went on a very lucky away run, there is no way we will recreate the home form again this season. So there is a basis to believe we are actually a mid table team who over achieved last season. Add to that we do not seem to be riding the crest of the wave of positivity like we were last season, both club and fans alike, and without additions I think mid table will be where we end up.

I don't think we're talking relegation but like dapperdan I think the current squad of players will see us mid table. A few additions - particularly a half decent left back - would see us push on.
