Returns from injury

Le Juif Rouge

Senior Mass Debater
For those of us who are somewhat more distant from the local pub chats; please can someone add a schedule of when all our injured players are likely to return to 1st Team duty. I know these thing are never exact but it would be nice to have some idea when we might see them on the team sheet again. Esp with the heavy prog we have coming up. :(

Bennett is out for the season. Earnshaw and Davies have hamstring injuries so anything from two to six weeks.

Anderson about 5 weeks.

Perch had a concussion so he should be o.k by the next game. Tyson can probably play with a bandage covering his stiches.

Breckin, and Mcleary are nursing injuries but are still needed so are available for selection. Same with Wes Morgan.

Not heard much said about Moussi but rumour was that he would be back in Feb so can't be too far away.

Cohen and Moloney both have four yellows so are one away from a ban.

Don't know about Lynch but Heath is a better left back anyway.

Anderson is expected back much sooner than 5 weeks, he said himself he thinks he can be pushing to play against 'man u', (interview before derby match, although would of been a push) so that means realisitically derby at home could see his return. His fitness levels wont have dropped much as you can run in a plaster just not have any contact, so a week off would of been enough to let the bone reset before light running.

Thanks guys that gives me a handle on what to expect.

Moussi should be back in training this month.

Anderson may be able to play (probably in the Derby match) *if* he is allowed to play with a lightweight cast on his wrist (apparently, the decision will rest with the Football League...)

Earnie should be back for Derby (at least; he may be available sooner).

Perch will be OK for Birmingham (7-10 days for concussion) and Nathan will be OK (12 stitches) as above, he may need a dressing over the wound.

I recall (before the Derby game) Billy Davies saying Ian Breckin's groin was "hanging off" (!) and Big Wes needs a Hernia operaion.

Davies and Lynch aren't really being missed at the moment!

Just like new signings ;)

Tyson has stitches out tomorrow apparently and read that Moussi is already back at training.

Stitches out already?

Blimey, our Nathan must be super speedy in the prothrombokinze, prothrombin, thrombin, fibrinogen, fibrin department!

Don't they use those disolvables these days or was it a dodgy pitchside seaming job with a rusty needle?

Great news either way. ;D

I think Anderson was being optimistic when he was talking about returning early. It seems that he will not be back before March at the earliest, otherwise he would have been mentioned.
