Lee Camp?

Did anyone hear his interview, he really wants to come back to Forest and denied any problems with Davies. Lets hope we can get him.

He's just been interviewed after the game...............get the feeling he'd love to come back to Forest.
Having a baby in a month and would like to be back in the east midlands with his family.
He said Forest know what they need to do!

He's worth every penny...........Goalie is the most important position on the pitch.

But we already have a keeper who is better than Camp why should be ship a load of money for a player we don't need.

QPR are hardly going to let us have him on loan whilst their first choice keeper is injured.

When Cerny is back, possible.

Would have to be a loan with a view to a permanent deal. If thats the case then fine.

I do feel sorry for Smith though. Good shot stopper - just lacks confidence at times.

Mind you, if I were him and my own fans were on my back all the time I would lack confidence too.

Today, he got stick for booting it up the pitch too quickly.

He also got stick for holding onto it too long when we didnt clear the box very quickly (and had no outlets at the time).

Credit to him for a great save to keep us at 2-2 today.

I think we have other much serious gaps to fill than keeper - but if they want to sign Camp, thats fine by me.

No wonder my post count..
This is an echo of the CC era - Camp played well then, but BD hasn't seen him play in his current setup.

After today I guess Lee Camp is a Forest fan after all. So much so he gave us an equaliser. Cheers Lee!

Camp's post-match interview smacked of arrogance though... "Nottingham Forest know what they need to do.." he also talks about himself in the third person.

If Smith had come for a cross like he did today then he'd have been crucified.

Re: Lee Camp?

Why do we need him? I'd rather have some more outfield players.

Genuine Info...........

Forest submitted a written bid for Camp for the amount agreed when the player first came on loan with CC in charge, the deal fell through because QPR revalued the player following his performances with Forest, stating the agreement was made with CC acting on behalf of Forest........not with Forest.

Totally agree. He isn't even that good, but a couple of really good saves when he was with us is enough to make the fickle Forest fan's want him back, even though he probably cost us more goals than he saved.

Anyone notice where he was for our second goal today? Exactly, in no man's land. His poor positioning enabled Cohen to divert the ball back across him and into the net.

He's a sheep shagger anyway, I bet he was jumping up and down on Wednesday when we lost.

I think it's safe to say that Smith was much more assured than Camp today, even on crosses. Do we really need him? Not really.

Campo is quality and I for one would love him to come back. Gave us two today and you could just tell he wanted to let one of those back passes run under his foot!!! He said QPR have made him train with the youth team!! Cheeky b**tards. Many a good player has had their fair share of arrogance and this can be a sign of confidence in which I am not when unfortunately it comes to Smith - best shot stopper in the league, yes no doubt, however, we need a solid chamionship keeper who is reliable and doesn't make me squirm in my seat.

See you on Monday Campo and don't be late for work!!!

Did you see our second goal?

Goalkeeping like that would make me squirm in my seat, and you yours!

Camp is not the messiah, good keeper yes, one I'd welcome as a signing - better than what we have? Well Smith was the better keeper on the pitch today.

Why the hell do you want Camp then? Comes for everything, probably gets the ball 75% of the time. His positioning is awful, his shot stopping isn't as good as Smith's. But he shouts, so he's obviously the best keeper in the league. ::)

Campy certainly gave a "come and get me" pleas to Forest, going as far as to say he had "never had a cross word" with Billy Davies.

It does remain to be seen, as (of course) the number of loans is limited, whether Billy Davies would want to use one on Campy, when we still have Smithy between the sticks, when there are other areas of the team we need to strengthen?
