Reserve Game Tickets

Does it cost anything to go and see the reserves?

Either way, Attending a number of reserve games should get you a free crap ticket to a home game. No 'big' matches. Maybe league cup games.

But yeah, that'd get some community spirit in no time. Ultimately, I think the sell-through on regular tickets will improve. There's thousands of empty seats most games, and it's better than Derby's free tickets scheme, this way you invest in the club by supporting the youth, then get to a first team game, of course that gets addictive, so you buy one or two more tickets a season than you otherwise might as a result.

It's a big division next season, we need the City Ground to be as full as possible as often as possible.

Except that Billy doesn't believe in Reserves, so we sold them all and sacked John Pembo - the highest ever rated Forest Manager - 100% wins.

Yes but there will still be non-first-team matches played, why not entice people to get behind the players? Do well in those games and a player could hear people singing for him when we hit our next inevitable slump - can't hurt, can it?

As far as im aware you don't have to pay to get into reserve games.

Id bet they don't even bother with tickets eithier. Just turn up and go in :)

They are free to watch the reserves, only the main stand is open for these games, and you just walk through the turnstiles in main stand, there is an opperative on the stiles but all they do is give you a team sheet.

So turn out for a few of them and get into a minor first team game - good idea or bad?

I've always rated those fans that watch these games and then can tell us about squad members we have never seen.

Reserve games were free last time I went.

If the rumoured disbanding of the reserves in favour of friendly games this policy might be changed depending on the calibre of opponents/demand for tickets I suppose.

i used to go watch them all the time when i was younger, was a strange night normally, like watching a county match..only with more fans.

i think may go down to a few this season, but asking the club to give something away for nothing...im not gonna hold my breathe.

The reserve league was bloody terrible quality. We won most games at a canter so I can fully understand pulling out of it. Of course, we must replace it with a decent number of friendlies.

There's usually a decent turnout for the reserve games, at least there has been when I have gone. Some of the kick-off times are stupid though - ie I cant imagine many people manage to attend the weekday afternoon matches.

I didn't get to many this season.

Last season I made it to quite a few of the evening kick offs.

They're free, and actually quite good.
