Remo Marco Freuler + Trains thread

Atalanta are a top Serie A club so to persuade their club captain to move is great work by the club. At 30, probably his last chance to play in the Premier League too.
They didn't qualify for Europe this past season (I believe) so their budgets may need tightening.

Nottingham's dirty secret
If we can get his Atalanta teammate Ruslan Malinovskyi to join him here as well then the club will have played a blinder IMO.
Would be incredible business.

I've already seem from various vids that they've got a great understanding. Perfect for a team lacking cohesion like ours.

And those “partnerships all over the park” are a key part of Coopers setup

If Atalanta qualified for Europe again last season there's almost no chance they'd be letting these players go, but less games means less need for rotation and it appears the club are using this season to continue blooding their next generation

Looks like they're fully backing their wonderkid DM Koopmeiner to continue where he left off last season as well as Boga who's an incredibly talented attacking midfielder as well as young brazilian Éderson who they've bought in this summer

In my opinion the best thing about this move is that Atalanta play a very attacking 3 at the back system with aggressive wingbacks. He won't need much time getting to grips with his role here

The formations gonna need to be flexible, 3 central midfeilders, can see him giving us the ability to play a 532

Must admit, when I've watched Italian football, Malinovskiy has impressed me more than Freuler.

I've enjoyed watching his free-kicks and long shots for Atalanta and Ukraine. Very classy player and a big goal threat from midfield.

However I still see the value of Freuler who makes the midfield tick. If we managed to get both, that would be great. Atalanta have been a top 3 team in Serie A 3 seasons in a row and was only last season where they finished 8th. Not bad!

As I said earlier in the thread, I’ve seen Freuler quite a few times in the flesh and had to rack my brains as to his input. He will quite easily go unnoticed but is the guy who makes the pass before the assist. Not a headline grabber but a type of player we definitely need.

Also I reckon la Dea are knackered this year. Much is made of their academy but their first team is always bought in. These new loan laws have cut off quite the cash cow for them.

Will definitely be a strange season, they have some great youngsters in Koopmeiner, Scalvini and Okoli but it's a big ask relying on this many young players to succeed. Even more so if Zapata can't stay fit

Have a feeling Éderson will be a good signing but i'm not fully convinced about Lookman. I think they'll soon realize that they've made a mistake not holding onto their more experienced players

I do love how some people become experts whenver we are linked with a player.

Usually after 30 pages too "Im an avid Forest fan but also a season ticket holder at the club they play for"

Our global appeal is something to behold

West Ham are bidding for him.

I hope so. I know Cooper has a habit of gently introducing new players but I don't think we can afford to potentially sacrifice points that way.
Only when in regards to fitness levels - don’t know where this guy is though.

He threw players that joined in Jan straight in last year. Cook & Keinan started a few days after they had joined.

We are scholars of the game.

I for instance, have supported Forest since forever, moved to Milan follow that lot and for a series of complicated reasons have a Parma season ticket.

Both made their debut against Arsenal on 9 Jan. Davis loan was done on 1 Jan, Cook deal on 4 Jan.
