Reds hopeful on Earnshaw return

Earnshaw is Forest's leading scorer with 16 goals
Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is optimistic that striker Robert Earnshaw and goalkeeper Iain Turner will return before the season ends.
Earnshaw missed Monday's draw at Sheffield United with a knee injury, while loanee Turner has a broken toe.
Davies told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I think we may have them for the last game or two, fingers crossed."
Davies added that striker Nathan Tyson and defender Joel Lynch could return for Saturday's game against Coventry.

Linkage? Brilliant news if it happens :) Earnie is our biggest goal threat, and Turner is a good back up while Smudge is doing well

What is the realism of a keeper with a broken toe recovering in 3 weeks. I think they are both set to be out for the remainder of the season. It depends on what's at stake in the last game.

I think it's worth having Earnie on the bench for the last couple of games, if he's remotely able to move, in case things get desperate.

I reckon Earnie would be a goal threat from a stretcher.

Not really sure of the point of Turner. He brings the least to the team of the six loanees (not counting McSheffrey under the knife), and a confident Smith is better.

Depends what sort of fracture Turner has. A 'fracture' can range from a totally displaced break to a slight crack; nobody knows apart from the club doctors, but in the case of the latter he could well be back. Earnshaw is a different story, can't see him being risked.

Good news. Assuming that Tys is fit for the Cov game I would like to see him playing with Dex up front as they would compliment each other nicely and Garner is a good option coming off the bench. I certainly think we could do with Tyson's pace for the Blackpool game as we play a lot better away from home with him in the side.

Nothing more needs to be said about Earnie really. If he plays in the final 2 games, chances are he will score a goal or two.

No wonder my post count..
How long is McSheffrey out for then? Is there no news of him returning - any attacking help is good help.

I doubt we will see him again this season to be honest - he is massively lacking in fitness and it would seem odd playing him in front of other fit strikers if it means dropping one of the other loanees.

Poor mite. It's like me going on a company meeting abroad and just staying in the hotel.

Billy likes to bring players back early though. Moose played a game around 3 weeks before he was scheduled to return.

Stranger things have happened.

I think he'll be back for Blackpool.

Remember Derby at home (I'm sorry!) when Earnie was meant to be out for three more weeks and started. He scored too.

All part of Billy Bouldrick's cunning plan.

I'd say Earnie will be on the bench for Cov, waiting to see if he is required.

As much as I like him as a player and think he is a very good pro, through no fault of his own, I think we're a better side without Tyson in it. Players get lazy and aimlessly hoof it in the vain hope his supreme pace can chase it down, and frequently, it doesn't work.

Definitely worth having around for when we need to change things, though.

Forest winning a pressure match?

Nothing that strange.

I gained a stiffy that day when I got the team list through via text. Earnie and Ando back? Schwing!

Turns out it was a waste of blood.
