I'm going to reading away and was wondering if anybody knew the prices of trains and how far from the station is the Madjeski stadium? I know the forest coach is 14.50 and it takes far to long for my liking!

Depending on route I think the train is between £20 and £30 the ground is about 2.5-3 miles away but there is a bus that goes from the station to the ground

Aye, there's a bus stop literally 100 yards from the station that takes you directly to the stadium. The pub next to the train station is quite good too, was packed with Forest fans last year. 8)

If you want to catch the train their is a service we caught on the way back from Soccer Am in Feb 2008,It serves Derby Basingstoke Birmingham,Reading and lands up in Bournmouth,

Petrol about 50 squid. M1, M69, M40 alway in. Nice run, 2.5 hrs at steady 70-80. Split obv makes it a choice. Only contemplate M42 option if you KNOW its clear. Else, M69.

*Above quote assumes you are riding Hondy 50cc leggy during present day fuel cost fluctuations. Check press for details.

A train ticket is £7.00 from Ash Train Station for a cheap day return.

I hope this helps.

The bus from the station to the ground was £3 return last season.

The best way to travel would have to be private jet, failing that a chauffer driven bentley with a dozen bottles of champagne would be nice or a rickshaw pulled by Tutts and Winnits, dressed as chinese peasants would be very amusing

The best would surely be constrained by finances.

However, statistically speaking, air travel is the safest means.
