Maloony is the new Thumpson. All the pieces of the current puzzle are becoming clear, more answers to come soon.
I would personally say Perch is more like Thompson = not very good.Dadford said:Maloony is the new Thumpson. All the pieces of the current puzzle are becoming clear, more answers to come soon.

Quality? What on earth do you mean?, the quality of being able to tackle a bit or the art of passing sideways.sedgred said:What on earth can you mean.......................Perch has grown in quality, he has been tested this season and rose to the challange. His role at the club may not be spectacular but is certainly very vital...........who are you comparing him to, Ronaldo or Giggs maybe ?
It's amazing how much people opinions differ, but it would be boring if we were all the same I suppose.06harlo said:perch in my opinion is our joint best player, and we fall apart if we dont have him atm

Oh I understand the holding midfielder if your comment was aimed at me I just don't think he's a particularly good one.kmm5000 said:It's amazing how the holding midfielder isn't really understood by a large majority of Forest fans.... It would be amazing if we all understood it i suppose......

Although he has improved this season, but I think we need a better one Moussi may be that, I wasn't one of those who IMO got carried away with Moussi after a couple of appearances but he needs a chance.

I understand perfectly what I want from my holding player. We had an excellent one last year that we let go in Sammy Clingan, a man who could keep the ball, make himself available for the ball whilst always putting in a good shift and winning plenty of balls.
Perch is a hard worker and a good tackler, I don't think he offers us much else.
Difference of opinion again me thinks.kmm5000 said:have a word with yourself fella.....

I have a feeling that if we got rid of Perch and kept Clinghan different views may be heard. It's Baggio said:If you can't/couldn't see the value of Sammy Clingan then, well, you're beyond help.

I certainly feel Clinghan is a better midfielder than Perch, he just offers more.
I also think Perch would be better in defence, at right back where some of his best performances have come. It's Baggio said:If Clingan had stayed then Perch would've been free to play in defence where he wants to play, where Davies has said that's where 'his talents lie' and where he's performed best.
