• Dear all, LTLF's founder, Stuart Connellan died suddenly a few days ago. If you've not seen it, you may wish to look at the thread in the top section of "Down the Pub" Thank you

Rafa IS NOT Mir here anymore!

I mean, it’s not like it’s 7ft in the air and going past him. That was like the Murray chance the other day. Actually very difficult unless you’re Peter Crouch, Zlatan or Ronaldo.

He's already jumped, it's the height of his face/head but used his shoulder instead? It's a bad miss but I've never played against Barça

Ha, amateur!

I beat Barca just last weekend, all on my own.

I don't know what he's used but it's so close to the goal it's surely harder not to hit the target. Any meaningful deflection in the right direction would presumably have taken it in. It just seems like he's got his timing all wrong and rather than just sticking a leg or something out at it (might need to not have jumped or wait for it to come down) or even a head would have scored it, instead it looks like he's tried to chest it in or something. Perhaps it looks worse than it is but it's similar to that Diakhaby attempt to control it

Will we be following the careers of all 762 shit loan players we’ve had on loan in the last 5 years?

He was utter dogshit for Forest. I’m not bothered if he goes on to become the next Pele somewhere else.

He’s top of the pops on the BBC this week for a lovely goal he scored in the latest round of fixtures. What a finish.

Former Nottingham Forest loanee Rafa Mir chased by FC Barcelona

Somebody needs to tell them they need to go for proven Championship strikers like Lyle Taylor.

Didn't realise he was still a Wolves. Seeing as they can't hit a banjo with a cow's arse without Jimenez, they must be considering bringing him back.

It shows it is possible to eventually strike gold with a player even after an unsuccessful loan at another club.

They must have discovered the secret to
Purest green there to turn Mir into a striker that interests Barcelona.
Just think if Carvalho had had a good season in Spain maybe the same could have happened and we might have seen Mir and Carvalho leading the line at camp nou....

Some players are just suited better to certian leagues, teams, styles, managers etc.
There's also plenty of players who've had a short 'hot streak' in an otherwise mediocre career, that they've managed to turn into a lucrative contract, before fading back to obscurity.

He only featured in 11 league games here so it's not exactly like he had time to really find his feet. When he's played regularly at the handful of clubs he's been at he's done well.

It's kind to even give him 11 games hulk, he had 210 minutes game time here overall.

No Forest fan would even be able to tell you what kind of player he is.

That’s pretty damning isn’t it. Barely more than 2 games worth of minutes. My main memory of him was from his debut in the opening game against WBA, as a sub, where he worked pretty hard. After which people were calling for him to replace Grabban!

My memory of him was the game at Millwall. He didn't look like he was enjoying himself.

I don't blame him. He was twenty-one, from Murcia, in South Bermondsey being called a #### any time his team won a throw-in. I think it was lashing it down too. It was a Friday night, which is not as notoriously difficult as a Tuesday night, but still. Then our main striker came on and scored within sixty seconds. Then scored again. Which didn't make Mir look any better.
