Hang on, what's Ruud van Nistelrooy got to do with this?

Is he one of the names on the list given to the 'Panel?

Please also explain why the poles would want to do the deal in Euros when their currency is the Zloty - why would they agree a price in Euro and then have to convert it to Zloty afterwards - that would potentially expose them to 2 exchange rate fluctuations and is totally unnecessary.

You've dived in here with a nonsense story about exchange rates mistakenly thinking that their currency is the Euro - this alone proves that you're talking ballcocks.

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously with your "inside knowledge" when you don't even know what the currency is.

It proves you haven't got a clue.

(End Quote Billy Davies - his source is bigger than my source !!!)

Hope you are still reading Dilly ???

I would have thought your carefully placed source would have been able to confirm to you the deal was in Euros if not maybe this will:

This is from a Polish Sports website 14th July 2009:

http://www.sport.pl/pilka/1,96012,6821480,Transfery__Radoslaw_Majewski_w_Nottingham_Forest_na.html

Not a zloty in sight I am afraid

Click translate on the top right and make sure you read the bottom paragraph - both the loan fee and the agreed transfer fee are in Euros

But surely your source could have told you that ?

Let me guess is your source Raddy's milkman ??

Or maybe his postman ? :D

Oh no it's not the taxi driver is it ?

(For Raddy's sake let's hope it's not his agent or he has got problems)

I really don't need to explain anything to you but as you ask I have no idea why they did the deal in Euros but that is what happened I am afraid and once again I repeat the hold up was/is all about changes in exchange rates - but maybe I made that up as well - sorry it is so boring I would like to think if I had made a story up I could have made it a bit more interesting for you - but you know what I will leave you to do all the storytelling on here

Do I win a prize ??

No need to apologise by the way !

Would you like to swap sources ?

I bought a T-shirt off eBay the other day.

I paid the seller in pounds sterling.

The price quoted on the item was in Euros.

He received Euros for the transaction, from my Sterling bank account.

If he were to publicise the transaction to the people local to him, I'm sure he'd say it was 22 Euros, not fifteen pounds, since the people local to him understand Euros more readily than they understand pounds.

But - hey......
