R. Campbell?

the mask of zorro

Geoff Thomas
I got the official illustrated history book for Christmas, and in it there is a teamsheet of a game Forest played against Real Sociedad in 1986. One of the subs is a R Campbell. I can't remember anyone by this name, and there is no record for a player by this name in the clubs statistics in another book that I have.
David Campbell is also named in this game, so it isn't him.

Anyone able to enlighten me?

Raymond Campbell, youth midfielder, flirted around the first team in some mid season friendlies in 85/86 but later released at the end of that season, think he was Irish like David.

Thank You

Ken Smales' book "The First 125 Years" lists him as Raymond Campbell, but gives no further information.

Just spoken to Ken and he will try to find out if he has anymore information on him.

Will get back if anything crops up.

He went to Hereford on loan IIRC before going back to Scotland and playing part-time football.
