Quoth Nigel:

Everytime that plonker opens his mouth, I become more and more glad Doughty rejected his application to be our manager.

Twice.

And that's before we get to his shocking tactics, questionable signings, and nepotism when selecting a team.

Hes a fookin disgrace to the family name.

But because of direbys fixation with everything Forest related, long may he continue in the job, because he hasnt got a clue what hes doing.

The idiot fans allow him much more rope simply because of his surname.

Any other mgr on such a poor run culminating in your local rivals smashing your back doors in, would not survive the post match hours.

But none lg nige is great because he has a Forest surname.

Fookin idiots - AND LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!!!!

U Reds!.............

no chip off the block is he ?

moaning to the 4th official, ref and linesman

I was appalled at Nigel's tactics tonight, which seemed to just be "fly into reckless challenges."

Him and Metgod, as far as I'm concerned, never had anything to do with Forest. Disappointed and disgusted with them.

His dad would not be impressed.

I wonder if Nigel will turn into a alcoholic like his dad? Or if indeed Nigel was embarrased of his dad being an alcoholic?

Well as sad as it may sound i do think the Clough family could of done a lot more in helping Brian battle his alcohol problems as could the club in which they had to back stab him to get him out like Wooton did in April 1993.

the club and the family tried to help as much as they could, Brian knew best.. you may have known him for being opinionated, so can you imagine the struggle in getting the great man to admit he had a problem... his family that you say didn't help him....made the house "dry" and welcomed him back from loosing him for most of the year every year to football with loving open arms..
how did wooton back stab him ?? the board discussed the departure of his reign with the whole clough family and cloughie...because they knew of the health problems...

anyhow...god rest his much missed soul....there is only one decent cloughie (so far)

Not trying to be disrespectful in any manner here, but Nigel joining Derby is maybe what had to be done for Forest to move on.
f*** yeah! We´re proud of our history! But we´ve been dwelling on it too long... Let´t accept that the days of European trophies, and world class players are gone. Let´s embrace the fact that Forest are becoming a very good side, who is destined to return to the best league in the world, if not this year, very soon! The football is very good, the entertainment value is brilliant!
I´ve never been so excited about following Forest in my life! I love it! And bring on the Premier League... Nigel knows it´s the only way he will get his money back, so if we´re promoted by the end of the season, he´s going to try very hard to keep us there!

COME ON YOU REDS!

Nigel quite frequently names and singles out players for criticism which is something even billy doesnt really do.

Nigel I am very dissapointed in what you have become.
I once thought he was articulate, quite and honest but he has become a man with hatred for this football club.
It just goes to show that money makes you say and do things that in the cold light of day you wouldn't say/do.
What a shame.:(

I dont think he has a hatred for forest as he very rarely even talks about us beyond saying he played here.

People take his comments wildly out of context, and i think attribute things to him which he hasnt said.

Clough jr has largely been quite respectful of forest when derby have beaten us, by heading straight down the tunnel. He very rarely mentions forest at all, and for me- i think hes trying to not let his past here get sucked into the tit for tat between forest and derby fans.

He is ultimately responsible for his players and savages actions though- but i dont see this hatred of us from him.

Maybe thats just me though.

Didn't he boot Billy after Derby's last victory over us? Hardly respectful, although I generally agree that our fans - being the reactionary beasties they are - tend to look for things that aren't there from him.

True, although the kneegate thing was all abit silly.

Im not saying he still loves forest or anything, but by and large hes not said anything particuarly inflammatory or even really critical.

Theres no obvious hatred there. An example is billy never misses an opportunity to take a shot at derby about his time there- how often do we hear something similar from nigel?

It gets rather tiresome reading all the "Brian would be ashamed" breed of sentiments that are always churned out whenever Nigel does pretty much anything.
