Quick Question

Hey, I was going to buy the new shirt today but was wondering will it have the Vic Chandler sponsor on it if I get a name on the back?

One of my friends said he didn't believe they did.

Does anyone know or when they will have it on?

Well i hope you mean pre-order because it's not on sale till friday :) and i see no reason why you can't have both the sponsor and your personalisationon the same shirt... actually of course both will be on

If you get it from the club shop you have the option to add the sponsor, free of charge, but that is ONLY if you get it from the club shop.

If you buy it elsewhere, they won't put the sposor on.

And of course assuming your getting an adult shirt then you will be able to get the sponsor on it.

But tell me this if you are a small fella and don't wear the adult shirts as they are too big, are you not able to get the sponsor on it even though you are an adult ?

Didn't really like the new shirt at first to be honest, but it's definatly grown on me and I'll probably buy one on Saturday when i get my season ticket.

With regards other places that will sell the shirts, I'm not sure Sports Soccer will do? I remember them selling our last seasons shirt for a while but then stopping after that and I only ever saw Forest shorts on sale.

I think shirts these days don't look right without a sponer, so will probably get mine with the sponsor printed. Never had a shirt with those league patches on either, so might get those added.

Though on the other hand, don't really see the point for £4.

How is it that if you buy a childs shirt you can't have the sponor on it when; you look at other teams that are sponsored by bookmakers, they sell childrens and infants kit with it on?

I have had alook at Wolves, Blackburn, Spurs etc and they sell all sizes wih sponsor on!

Just checked out West Ham and they sell the junior and infants kit with "The Bobby Moore Foundation" on it instead of the on line bookies that sponsor them!

I see swansea dont offer the sponsor ont the junior kit, nor do Wigan; but Spurs do, as did Boro when they were 888 and villa when 32 red. Must be some sort of legislation?

No, unfortunately not.

Reason being is that Childrens clothing doesn't carry the 15% VAT that adults clothing carries. This is why people with really small feet can get cheaper trainers.

Clothing that is VAT exempt is not allowed to be used for alcohol advertising, and I think the gambling companies have followed this example, albeit without need for the law to intervene.

I don't think gambling advertisign is illegal on childrens shirts, but many have made a 'gentlemans agreement'.

I could be wrong, and it could have passed into law, but if it did it totally passed me by.

That's essentially one question asked twice. I would say the first one is more of a medium, although the second one is certainly a "quick question."

However, it would be impossible to answer without contextualisation, thus scuppering your hopes of asking it quickly.

I think this thread has failed to deliver on its promise. In any case, despite the falsehoods, I hope you get the answer you seek.

I'm 17 and bought one today in an adult size as did my friend whos 15 as well, I look very underage as well for a 17year old and he looks about 13.

I wasent questioned about it, I did ask is it only adult sizes that have the sponsor and got the reply "yeah mate" and that was about it really. My friend got undercharged as well for his kit as the woman servering him coudlent times £3.50x3.
