Quick question about your away end

Hello. I'm a Newcastle fan and no doubt you've been asked this before but how many does your away end hold?

I'm asking this because if there was one away trip I wanted to go this season to it was Forest but it appears that everyone wants to go to this one. Meaning that if the allocation is small there is no chance of those without Season Tickets getting a ticket for this one.

Thanks.

were in there for the Derby game.

Doubt you'd get any more than that to be honest.

The ground guide says that the Bridgford Lower (the away section) can hold 4,750.

But I think there are some seats with very restricted views, so the full allocation is usually about 4,400 I think.

I hope it is 4,400, that would be fantastic, We'll sell out and I know your fans are pretty loud so here's hoping it makes for a good atmosphere!

And dont worry, our support is relitively well behaved these days! Though I wouldnt mind the result from that day in 1974! :-*

My Dad still bangs on about that. He'd probably punch you if you mentioned it in front of him. :D

The lower Bridgford holds about 4,300. However, if Forest ticket sales don't go well (and they might not at £30 a ticket and it being on TV), you might get one block in the lower Brian Clough, which would give you an extra 1,000.

don't forget, the lights down here are electric, so you won't be able to rob the gas lighters. oh and we have these internal combustion things now so horse and carts aren't well catered for

I remember when we played Sunderland a few years back and then had all the lower bridgeford and 2 blocks in the lower Clough. It was a sell out and I think they had over 6000. Would like to see that again as that game had a superb atmosphere

Same here, always seems to bring it up whenever Newcastle are mentioned by anyone.

given that it's on tv I'd imagine we'd have trouble selling tickets and would not br suprised to see you get 5,500 tickets ...

Oh and Forest ? Loud ? At home?!

LMFAO!

I can remember two years ago this very month when Clive Clarke had a heart attack at the City Ground and at the rematch between us and Leicester, Leicester had the whole Bridgford End Upper and Lower and brought about 6,000.

yes but that was a cup match where tickets are divided differently

Yeah, we're not the loudest - I've been to quieter grounds though. Definitely.

With Forest, the more the visiting fans sing, the more the Forest fans will sing.

Wolves had 5,300 last year (the away end and then some).

I think that was the biggest away attendance for a fair while ...

By the time we're two or three goals up I dare say we'll be making a fair bit of noise.

Snoring in our beds I imagine as that sounds more like a dream than a possibility!

I would say the most you will get will be 4,500. Also, you will have the loudest stand in the ground so will outsing us no problem. Allthough as already mentioned, we do make more noise when theres a good away following.

If we couldnt sell the remaining 25,000 or so its a poor show even if it is a 5.20 kick off and £30 a ticket.
