Pub For leicester ?????

anyone know what are best away pubs in leicester weatherspoons in city or is there many near ground ??

or are we likely to get escorted by the old bill from the station ??
 
Last time we played there, the police escorted us to a little pub literally across the road from the train station. Go out of the station, under a subway goin under the dual carriageway, brings you out right next to the pub on your left. Cant remember what it was called though, or if its still there. Was 5 years ago we were last there!

This would probably be the best bet. very unlikely forest fans would get in anywhere else on a matchday.

yeah i know there , have heard rumours old bill will close that if too many reds (which there will be)

think i will either get very early train or bout 1400 and straight to ground
 
There are some decent pubs at Nelson Mandela Park (outside Welford Rd)

Planning on wearing a red Tigers egg chasers shirt, getting a pint in one of the pubs by Welford Rd then it'll be a quick 5 min walk to the Crisp Bowl for the game ;)
 
For those going by official coaches, ive just been told by a normally very reliable source that you will be taken straight into the ground and no alcohol will be on sale in the Forest end. Obviously hope im wrong for those travelling by that method

Seems like a fair swop!

We'll have to find a run down, boarded up one though because otherwise they'll need to give us change!
 
How far is the walk from the station to the ground? I'm coming up on the train, but have never been to the new ground

If you manage to avoid the police you can do it in 20 minutes, if you end up in an escort you'll be lucky to see half-time!

Ah brilliant. Well I should be getting into Leicester about 1ish and was gonna go straight to the ground.
Do you think they will hold us back at the final whistle?
 
There still is a lamplighters, it is near the army and navy store, probably as shite as the old one.
