Prospects for Easter?

So, how do people see things going at Easter? Obviously, how we get on against Barnsley is a big factor going into it. If we win, we'll be on track and still in with a good shout of rescuing ourselves. If not, we'll have blown a massive fixture, and taken a step towards the drop, coming back against these two might be a big ask ...

Sheffield United ...

Ruiners of play off dreams, unbeaten in 6, four of those wins, just landed manager of the month, looking good in the play offs.

Bristol City ...

Rhyme with titties, so can't be underestimated, 1 win and 2 draws in last 6, mid tablish form, but still in touching distance of the play offs with a 5 point gap to close.

Could be a big tough weekend, if we get a result tomorrow! You Reds!

3 points on Saturday is crucial. We cannot throw this away.

A point is not a good enough result, but wouldn't be a total disaster.

Defeat, for me, would see us with one foot in League One.

Agreed with all of that.

When I saw our final six matches, I saw that it was only really Coventry who had nothing to play for.
All the other teams are either chasing promtion or fighting relegation.

If we get 3 points at Barnsley, we could be lifted out of the relegation zone, and I think that would be a great boost going into the match against Bristol City.

Yeah, that was the way I was seeing it. We'll need that lift. The reverse of the logic doesn't bear thinking about. I really hope we give it everything tomorrow, ode Colin Frey will be going nuts on the radio no doubt :)

Good thread :)

Also think (like Rich.) that a draw wouldn't be a disaster against Barnsley but the pressure it would place on us over Easter would not be helpful at all. We need to go to Barnsley and win, whether we play well or not, we need to grind out those 3 points. I would take the same result we had against Barnsley at home a couple of months back.

As for Bristol City I don't see why we can't beat them at home. If we've got our tails up we can give most teams a run for their money e.g. Reading, Wolves, Birmingham. Bristol City are nothing special at all.

Sheffield Utd away will be tricky, but if we can build up a head of steam during the preceeding two games we can go there and beat them.

For me the Barnsley game is critcal.

I agree I don't even think it would be the end of the world if we lost, I just hope the support does well if things aren't going our way. I know away it's 10x better than at home but with the nerves going and emotions running high...
