A friend of mine is a reporter and as been in contact with the press office this morning.

He asked "do nottingham forest wish to comment on the signing of whittingham"

Which obviously they replied "No comment to transfer speculation"

However a "routine" pre match press conference is taking place today, when asked what time this would take place, no comment as been made.

So it looks like that will be key, whenever it does happen.

Well they are not going to say other than "routine" at this moment. But just generally speaking if an announcement was to take place today regarding any signing you would expect it to happen during that conference.

Either way we will know where we stand with the Burnley game.

Yes I think you are right, but this is that kind of capture, if we have him... and with all comments on the AP they may want to come out and say "look what we have done" just an idea, lets see what it brings.
