Pre-season match v Notts County?

I heard reports few weeks ago that we had agreed with Notts County to a pre-season match. Havn't heard anymore since.

Anyone know if the pre-season between both sides is going ahead like last season?

Wasn't there trouble last year? If so, I'd think it unlikely they'll play again this year.

I hope we don't bother, the convenience compells me to attend but would rather we didn't play 'em.

last year was crap

was boiling hot sitting on a dusty seat and we lost

Will that be one of those pre-season games where we have two on the same day? Sending out a reserve side to face Notts while we play a club that presents more of a challenge? lol

Normally we play them the Saturday before the season starts, but we are away at Swindon that day.
We may well send out 2 teams but can't see that happening with only 7 days to go before the first game

Miserable git, and proud.
No game at Lego Lane this season, not for the first team anyway.

If neither club has released information on a fixture, it would be safe to assume there won't be one.

If County ever have more than 9 players they might get round to arranging a game.

How many does the Jimmy Sirrell stand hold?

The Notts chairman announced that he had got friendlies lined up with Everton, Celtic and 'those across the River' on the Notts forum. As none of these have materialised, or the 4 to 5 signings he apparently announced were going to happen last week, I'm going to have a close look at his picture, to see if it's Barnum wearinng a false beard.

seems to be abit of a tit their chairman and not at all professional if he's coming out with comments like that

We've got 110% of the Jimmy Sirrel stand. It has a capacity of 5500 - but this assumes that all spectators have a walking stick, mobility scooter, partially lame dog, thermos full of Bovril and one of those little pull along trolley things (preferably tartan).

That's not far from what happened last season when the dodgy Munto administration over-sold the allocation of the away end and fans had to be moved into other areas of the ground.

According to Josh Lego Lane is some kind of Tardis because he talks like they had 100,000 in there.

They had 100,000 in there for the 1970 World Cup final. Which is odd because the match was played at the Aztec Stadium, Mexico.

When the usual crowd is one man and a dog, a full stand must look like the Maracana by comparison.

we only ever played them because Nottingham Forest was doing them a favour, because were not total bastards like them, but now due to their attitude taken from going into 7 million pounds of debt after promotion from the Conference+ division has made us not want to help them at all, which i agree with because their fans have all been total tosspots over the last 12 months.
