Pre match Refreshments and such alike

Right, so I'm coming to the Newcastle game from the Isle of man via a very expensive very small type plane thing next Saturday morning, followed by some bus thing to the City Centre before finding my hotel for about 14.00 hours.

Where do people meet for pre match pints these days, I'm staying in the City Centre and would like to share with you my less than attractive mug!!

No breakfast for me, I have plans in the morning - but should make the Globe in good time before the match.

Sadly I've had to abandon the slim hopes that I had of making this one. So I shall be looking out for a glimpse of any of you on the Sky Sports coverage. :(

Breakfast? It's a 1720 hrs kick off!

I shall be making my way to The Globe for 1500 ish.

Our flight lands at about half 11 then figure out how to get a bus into the City centre, book into the hotel which seems to be within reasonable distance of The Globe so 1500 hours looks a plausable option, although drinking in the airport at 8.30 in the morning probably isn't!!!

Stopping in The Hilton!!

You're sorted, just head down from the Hilton to either the Market Square or the Broadmarsh, loads of buses from there go out past the Globe towards the ground.

Hilton is very central, and good for the ensuing night out for you.

It's not a million miles from the Globe, but you may find it easier in a taxi than attempting to navigate the buses. Plus, I imagine the inability to be given change will flummox you. It did me when I first moved here.

Agree with Rich, taxi it to the Globe.

Although at the Hilton you're not too far from the Market Square which is of course where a bronzen effigy of a certain Brian Clough resides.

Indeed. The Hilton staff should be able to point you in that direction.

Taxi it will be then, and I will be visiting aforementioned statue as I don't fly back to the IOM unti 8pm Sunday night, loads of time for my hangover to clear :D

A taxi shoudl be around a fiver.

If there's three of you the bus would be £4.50 anyways.
