Pre match 'entertainment'

Anyone else find that the pre-match 'music' is just too loud? I SAID, ANYONE ELSE FIND THAT THE PRE-MATCH 'MUSIC' IS TOO LOUD? Seriously - I get in with my mates as late as we can so that we can have already had our chat/news/banter. Trouble is, some people we sit near, who we exchange pleasantries with, we only see them in the ground - conversation is impossible. Ego trip for the DJ obviously - look how loud mine will go. By the way, it does nothing for the atmosphere.

Where d'you sit? I'm guessing Main Stand.

The sound volume is highly variable around the ground. You can't hear it too clearly in the Upper Bridgford, although even that's too loud lol

I was gonna mention this after the WBA game but forgot.

In my new seats, I noticed that the PA speakers in the Trent End were hissing really loudly throughout the game. I stopped noticing after a while but to start with it was pretty loud and annoying. Can't be too hard to turn them off when not in use!

And yes, the music was too loud in the TE too, had to shout to talk to people next to me.

got to agree there is no need, when my grandad goes it is nice for us to be able to have a chat as he doesnt go as often as he would like just because it can get a bit much for him making him tired with the travelling involved, i know he struggles with the sound and it makes it hard for us to have a conversation as his hearing isn't the greatest at the best of times, i know he loves to go as he always sees many of his old friends there that he has made over the last 65 years of being a regular but he is definitely finding this harder now as he can't really handle the volume level

How did you ever deduce that? Is it when the announcer says "Let's return to the music with HMV, top dog for music"?

It's not the music that's the issue it's the level it's played at.

It doesn't bother me to be honest. Well it never has done yet. I quite enjoy pre match music when those tunes come on 5 mins before kick off it gets me all hyped up!!! Sad I know but it does.

And it makes the away fans a whole lot quieter aswell.

I can't honestly say it's a problem where I sit, BC upper block J.

If in other areas people really do have a problem with it why not (politely) let the club know your views. I'm sure if enough people complained about it they might look into it.

I agree with Mouldy here.

The louder the music 5-10mins before kick off the better. Gets me buzzin for some reason! :D

Half time etc, I can't say it's ever bothered me. That said most the time i down the concourse tucking into a balti pie & pint.

One the subject of having a random moan though....£3.05 for a pint of piss water now!!!! Unreal, can't have a half time without a beer though :(.

I sit in the Trent End Upper. I too was roaring in the ear of the guy next to me. It was the first time I'd seen him since the end of last season - he lives next to the Sheffield border and really makes an effort to come here. We deserve to be able to speak!!! By the way - half the volume and the problem would be solved. No problem about hyping it up 5 mins before the kick-off. One person choosing what to listen to and and what volume is a huge responsibility. I hope the person who controls it is reading this post. By the way - the speakers over the away fans can be turned up. Make them suffer. By the way, without acting the old fart, I did think the volume on Saturday might just have breached the health and safety laws! Seriously. So be warned, guy with the volume control. I'll sue if I go deaf. Pardon?

Lol i quite like being in upper bridgford all you hear is drabs of music from the clough stand speakers and then some muffled bloke on mike, its great.

where i sit at the back of a block it is stupidly loud at one point during a anoying song a high pitch bit made me wince a bit (and im 31 so used to loud music in clubs ect)

what annoys me is it stops the atmosphere for a game building up before the kick off. i.e in previous years against derby the banter would start 15 mins before kickoff with A blcok exchanging songs with the sheep gradualy building a electric atmosphere, theres no chance of that happening now as I cant here the bloke 2 rows in front of me let alone away fans

Definitely MUCH louder in TEUpper than last season, and they left the PA on during the game and there was a mains humm (but bloody loud) throughout the game..
