Wow, I’m so jealous! I’ve seen Sofia images and they look superb, which is why I’m on tenterhooks waiting for James Webb next Tuesday! We were fortunate last year to get a visit from the converted 747 that houses the SOFIA flying observatory, and you could get an interior tour of it, which was frankly mindblowing.
Would I make you further jealous if I told you I got a tour around SOFIA when it landed at STR?Wow, I’m so jealous! I’ve seen Sofia images and they look superb, which is why I’m on tenterhooks waiting for James Webb next Tuesday!
Anything you’re unsure about on the tech front Strummer sling it across, I’ll give it the once over and dumb it down for ya ……. Be no charge eitherWould I make you further jealous if I told you I got a tour around SOFIA when it landed at STR?
(a colleague of mine is a graduate of the University of Stuttgart and she worked with the astrophysics group for part of her dissertation; I have to say - and I am a tech-head - the stuff on SOFIA was absolute Science-fiction to me!)
And yes, I am also waiting with some excitement for the first images from the JWST next week.
