Players in the stand - what's that about?

At the blackpool game, I think I saw Gareth McCleary go to the stewards at the corner of the stand behind the goal and ask to be moved to the temporary stand along the side.

Did i dream that? Did he hitch a lift with anyone one here?

I had fish and chips with Ian Woan before a game in Cleethorpes but at least he had a place on the bench during the game.

McCleary and Anderson ended up in the uncovered stand, where they seemed to be constantly signing autographs etc.

I was in the stand behind the goal, but I think they may have arrived late as they weren't on the bench, and were directed to the supporters' entrance, or just weren't allowed in the players' entrance in the first half. They weren't there in the second half.

Maybe the Blackpool staff didn't recognise them and thought they were trying to blag their way in...

The blackpool stewards (numbers made up by preston stewards) didnt recognise them. The players had tickets which looked to me from about 5 yards to be common or garden away fans tickets.

They were saved by a group of Forest stewards who recognised them and haggled with the blackpool-preston stewards to move them onto the pitch. A second lot of home stewards made them go through it all again to get from the pitch into the side stand.

Yeah I remember having my photo taken with him in the stand at Bradford away on the last day of our first season in League One.

It was magical.
