Whilst it is tough to decide for Wes just shades it, he has been fantastic at the back in the vast majority of games and has played a major role in keeping a lid on some of the division's most prolific strikers.

McKenna for me, he's what we've needed for a long time and has allowed others to flourish around him.

That said, there are so many contenders, Wes - as you've said, Kelvin lately. Dexter, Earnie, Raddy... Ando starting to show what he can do, Tys was on fire before his injury, Gunter's done well, Cohen has adapted brilliantly to different roles in the team...

Tight between McKenna and Wes... I voted Wes on the basis that he's really raised his game, whereas we knew what we would get with McKenna

Wes is immense. Agree with Winnits, Mckenna is the unsung hero type player. We havnt had a Mckenna type player since Scimeca left. i just worry if he got injured we would struggle a bit.

Here's a question for you. Would you swap Wes for any other centre half in the league? No one springs to mind for me. He's them most improved player ive seen at Forest for a long time and i dont think swap him for any other CH in the league

I went for Wes. When you consider that many of us thought at the start of the season that our defence would really struggle, but that we in fact have the 4th least goals conceded, I think the back 4 (who have pretty much picked themsleves all year) have been the outstanding performers, and Wes has been the key part of this. He marks strikers who should be dangerous completely out of the game, and he often manages to throw himself in the way of shots just when it looks like hes been beaten.

Mckenna was a very close second - he's really transformed the midfield, and I also considered Kelvin, who has been in fantastic form ever since he found his way into the team.

I'm the only one who's gone with Gunter

Wes and Mckenna have both been superb as well, and Blackstock's done a good job. Camp shouldn't be overlooked either, he's kept us in it a few times, especially at Cardiff.

It's a tough one, as I don't think anyone has played badly this season yet.

Probably McKenna

McKenna like a cobra attacks and gets out of it before he gets booked.
He is all over the midfield during a match fantastic.

Was just saying to my mate on sat that i'm not sure there is a better centre back in the league. I wouldn't swap him for some prem defenders

I am thinking Wes on this one. Just been consistently great time and time again all season and the step up he has made has been sensational; although when you talk about his step up, he did start his career at this level. But he has been faultless, just faultless.

Honourable shout out to McKenna of course who has been a brilliant addition to the midfield. We've not had a decent defensive style midfielder since the days of Paul Evans, Moussi is still an unknown quantity due to his injury problems. The way McKenna can stop an attack and hold onto the ball like he has all the time in the world is brilliant. He has been fanastic this season though and we got another thing with McKenna that we haven't had for a while. A natural leader on the pitch.

The only reason Wes edges this for me is because of Wes' consistency. Wes has been consistently good whereas McKenna was a bit suspect when Majewski got injured after the Derby game. That's being really picky though because end of the day both have been fantastic for the club this season.

I think we'd all swap him for Steven Taylor, wouldn't we?
But I agree, he must be one of the most consistant CBs in the league. His passing and speed would see him caught out in the Prem I think though.
As daft as it sounds, if we get a new centre half in January, I think Wes could lose his place, which seems insane.

I voted for McKenna. The team wouldnt function without him.

Stephen Taylor is a right back come centre half, he wouldn't improve us.

He really would improve us. He is easily the best centre back in the league. Wilson is a right back come centre back, that doesnt mean we wouldnt miss him.
