Play offs NOW

Anyone else think they'll be getting impatient for the play offs to start over the next few weeks?

Okay, there's a slim chance West Brom could still arse things up, but the next few games are going to seem more and more err .. "processional".

I think I'm going to be wishing them away and just wanting to get to what's likely to be the meat of our season now.

They will be huge sell out games, rammed with passion, excitment and hopefully, success that will eclipse the League 1 promotion. Really, the likes of Bristol City can't compete.

Bring on Wembley.

Don't be counting them chickens before they're hatched mate. We still haven't mathematically secured a play-off spot. Whilst people can talk about a Newcastle/West brom collapse...we're perhaps even more capable of a late season collapse costing us our spot before then...let alone a difficult two-legger before Wembley...

Once we've secured a berth, I can see Billy resting Chris Cohen for a game or so.

And if what Jamie was saying on his Facebook page about Paul McKenna being back in time, that's brilliant.

Maybe the last few games will be a chance for Blackstock, Kelv and Gunts to have a rest.

Think Majewski could do with a rest too.

What a crap view! Take you binoculars if we do go there.

It would have to be quite some collapse to not pick up the 5 points (if I calculate correctly, 3 will do it if Blackpool lose) we need to ensure a playoff place.

Whatever we do , we must win the first leg by two goals, there is no way it could go wrong after that...

Playoff place is one thing, getting to Wembley is another.

Indeed, but Billy has a fairly good record. He got Preston to the final in his first season there, should have taken them to another final the year after (they lost very unfortunately to Leeds) and, of course, took Derby up too, which was a small miracle itself.

;D

More astonishing is that we've lost both our play-offs 5-4 aet having been leading by two clear goals with half an hour to go in normal time.

Sky Sports would be creaming themselves if we could do that again.

My worry is that there will be too much effort put into getting 2nd when we should start resting players.

I still feel sick every time I think of that bloody Yeovile game, I don't think I could stand the disappointment again, if we make them, I am emigrating to Leicestershire until they are over.

Already had the sister asking if we can get her a ticket for the playoffs....

"F**K rite off you have not been to a single game all season and if you think I am taking down a glory supporting hag like you to a game where if we lose you will say sack the manager so tough s**t"

The most important thing now is that Leicester slip out of the play offs.

I don't know what it is but I think they'll be our undoing if we get them in the play offs.

Every fox botherer I speak to at the moment is convinced of a Forest Leicester final, that would be bloody carnage at St Pancreas!

Couldn't be doing with their fans talking up the massive rivalry between the clubs and how much joy they would have from beating us. :ubique:

I thought you lived there anyway?

I know, don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to the 1st two games as well. Hopefully they won't be for nowt though.

We have to keep on trying to put ourselves in this position until its just not possible.

Even though is it very unlikely that WB will collapse, if they did and we hadn't been on the ball to exploit it you'd be rightly gutted.

We'll have a good idea after next monday.
