Just wondering who's got the best home and away fans in the play offs. I saw Ned Kelly's interview in the NEP and he thanked the fans and talked about how much we've helped this season, could we be a factor in the play offs too?

Forest - Home
So the City Ground is 30,000 nearly, at times, its a library, but Ned was happy with our efforts! I seem to remember the atmosphere being electric in the other play off outings, and obviously we'll sell out. On the down side we give a big allocation to away fans.

Forest - Away
We've got some of the best travelling support in the country, and it could be a factor. We ought to take a big following to Wembley as well should we get there. There's been games where we've out-sang the home fans.

How do you think this stacks up to other play off contenders? Anyone with knowledge enough of the other teams care to do a similar home/away following write up/comparison?

If Derby made the playoffs it'd have to be them. They too a mighty 359 supporters to Middlesbrough.

I was surprised someone voted for boro, but - hey ho!

Could it have been a protest vote, spoiled ballot paper type thing (no onions or geoff hurst category option)?

Most probably someone who thinks the boro have the best fans in the play-offs not including us.

I dont think the spectators at CG give forest much of a home advantage - very quick to boo, only gee them us up when we've just scored (when we dont need geeing up).

I've also stood with our away support listening to songs like You're Not Fit To Wear That Shirt.

That wouldn't motivate me. It's more likely to make me think, "Well you're paying me you sad twats."

I chose Boro. I wish I'd picked Blackpool instead now.

Cardiff couldn't even sell-out their biggest Welsh derby in history.
Leicester fans are terrible.
Swansea haven't had a sell out all season.
Blackpool's average attendance is one of the best in the league considering their capacity.
Reading fans are shite.

Just out of interest, if we got Cardiff do you think they'd give us the measly 1200 allocation we had for the league match? I'm not sure what the rules are for ticket allocation in the football league - do the Play-offs count as a Cup match?

I think we only got that crap allocation because it was a sunday night on the beeb. One would hope they'd give us at least 2.5k if we faced them, but I can't see it as I think they'll be 4th.
