Bit early but does anyone know our likely away allocation for these two? :help:

I'm pretty sure there's an LTLF regular who works at London Road?

If we get the whole terrace behind the goal, isn't that about 4,000? Plus I know there's a block of about 800 seats that we can have as well.
I reckon we'll probably get as many as we can sell... I guess it depends on how they segregate the terrace behind the goal if home fans go there too?

No idea about Leicester - I think away fans get the corner blocks which hold about 2,500-3,000 or something?

1) I can't see them both being away on the same day.

2) Why would we get an allocation?

Swansea had 3,136 at Lesda on opening day.

Sheff Wed had 2,861 at Posh last week.

...can't think who that would be.

The Moy's end terrace, which is the away terrace, holds 3,000. It used to be nearer 4,000, but the FA have reduced it with several safety measures over the years.

There's between 500 and 1000 seats which are allocated to away fans in the main stand, this is variable dependent on how big demand is for home and away tickets respectively. Given our large away following I'd expect us to be at the upper end of that scale, but this is not confirmed yet.

Might you be working that game?

Nope.

I will instead be at the game as a spectator, allowing me to partake in the consumption of a few beverages, along with whichever LTLFers make the journey, beforehand.

Trains for Peterborough anyone?

Cheapest return is £18 which seems pretty steep to say it's about 55 minutes each way.

Tried looking at two singles; Nott'm to Peterborough is £7, and unless you wait until about 8pm, the fare coming back is £17!!!
How does that work?

Check on TheTrainline.com, their search engine will highlight the cheapest fares (but don't book through them as they add on admin fees...)

Thanks fella, but I had a quick check and Trainline was also telling me these daft prices.

I think there are a set amount of cheaper Advance tickets for any journey, and for this journey, the cheap Advance ones have sold out (due to hundreds of people all going from Peterborough to Nottingham on the traines between 5-7pm).

That's the only reason I can think of, anyway.

I think you might be right...although the new train prices don't seem to make any sense to anyone on this planet anyway...

Seriously considering the Peterborough game, if I can arrange a lift then I will be there, just got to tempt my mate into coming, free ticket and some petrol money might sway him.

haha, sounds good. Where will Forest fans be drinking? Is there a big Wetherspoons for boozing before and after the match?

Train tickets sorted now anyway:

Went to the train station, got a Nottingham to Grantham return for £7 and a Grantham to Peterborough return for £7.50. Total was £14.50, saved a few quid, and all trains go through Grantham so I can now get on any train I want.

Sod's law says that they won't check tickets going either way, but that's just life isn't it.

9am Saturday.

According the OS there are about 700 seating tickets and 2000 terrace tickets. There's a further allocation if needs be, and I assume the extra allocation is in the terrace?

I don;t get paid until Friday and I'm biting me nails that I might not get a ticket. But I spoke to a lass at the ticket office today and she said there's "plenty" left, hopefully that'll still be the case at the weekend :(

I was worried about that too. I asked the lad in the ticket office yesterday and he said there were "about 800" terrace places left.

The official site also says if we sell out the first allocation, we can get more tickets, so should be alright.

Congo seems to reckon it can hold around 4000 behind the goal - and our initial allocation was 2000, so there should be plenty of availability if we ask for more.

3,600 behind the goal. Not sure why they wouldn't give us the whole lot as a first allocation anyway, as it's never split...it's always away fans only.
