This would be a good signing. Leven is MK Dons best player and is out of contract soon so would be good value.

Left Kilmarnock and then Chesterfield when his deal was up, so MK Dons probably won't want him to pull the same trick again.

So is John Robertson, Archie Gemmill, Billy Davies...

What about Kris Boyd, James McFadden, Alan Hutton wouldn't take these because their Scottish as well??

I wouldn't take Kris Boyd because he demanded £20,000 a week from Birmingham, with a "double my money" promotion clause.

He was the guy who retired from playing for Scotland, because Burley picked Iwelumo ahead of him. What an arsehole.

Disagree with you, if we signed them (I am not trying to say we will) they would easily get into our team

Hutton is a right back, Hutton or Chambers... :wink: No Contest Really

McFadden - Would walk into all Championship and probably a half of the prem starting XI

Boyd - again would easily warrant a starting place

I can't really see your point about signing him because he is Scottish, Its like saying we shouldn't of signed Earnshaw coz he is Welsh or Why would any club try and sign Ballack coz he is German !!

Kris Boyd is an awesome player, never gets enough recognition in my eyes.

McFadden, what can you say about him? Remember that goal for Everton a couple of seasons ago? Pure quality.

And Alan Hutton, a brilliant full back, joining Tottenham was a mistake though in my eyes.

Scotland once had fantastic players in the 70s/80s

now their best player is commons and darren fletcher and all he does is run.

if we get a scottish player who cant even get into the scottish team then he must be crap.

They all due when fit, with the exception of Boyd who has retired playing for them under Burley as someone has mentioned previously

Does this mean Earnie is rubbish because he can't get in the Wales team ?? :wink:

Peter Leven (born 27 September 1983) is a Scottish professional association football player who plays for Football League One club MK Dons.

Leven, who was a youth player with Rangers, signed for Kilmarnock in 2004 but he struggled to establish himself in the first team. He played just 15 times for Kilmarnock in the 2006–07 season and he joined Chesterfield on a free transfer after rejecting Kilmarnock's contract offer in favour of first team football.

As Aaron Downes made a poor start to the 2007–08 season, Peter was given the captaincy of Chesterfield. He appeared in 44 of Chesterfield's 49 games in the 2007–08 season, but since they failed to gain promotion he turned down a contract extension. He joined Milton Keynes Dons in June 2008 on a free transfer

We were supposed to be after him in January and his contract was due to expire this summer. He signed a contract until 2011 a few weeks ago so he probably isn't looking to move and will cost too much. Would have been good for free. Not sure about £1 million.
