I think Perch is good enough to make the starting eleven, but doesn't have the ability to have the status of a key player which he currently has.

I haven't heard it yet an apology to the travelling fans from the Captain is of little comfort.

The only way the guys can apologise in my mind is to put in the performance of their career on home soil against Wolves on Saturday and get a result.

Yeah well done Perch, first time start in central defence and we leak 5 goals.... If you really want to apologise you and the other team players want to dig deep and pay each of our supporters who went yesterday there ticket fee back.... That yesterday was not value for money, entertainment or fun to watch.... Pay the fans there money back and maybe that kind of apology would be worth it....

That's a bit unfair and whilst I wasn't there the commentry indicated that Perch prevented just as many as he gave away! It was all "takes it past Chambers or takes it past Cohen" .

For a lad who's just come back from being out injured for a game being placed as an emergency CB which whilst during academy days he hasn't started at for a long while alongside a new LB whom he properly never even trained more than a day with.. and in font of a keeper whos shakey at the best of times..

Did Chambers go and apologise?? ..

For a Forest player it appears you're damned if you do and damned if you don't!

From the radio commentary, rightly or wrongly, it appeared that James Perch and Wes Morgan were two of which put in a half decent performance. The fact that we couldn't create anything is down to the whole team and no particular individual.

Perch, as captain, holds a position and he collectively spoke on behalf of the entire squad which you would hope for and expect.

It was a bad game and a bad result and the important thing is that we learn from it and correct all that's wrong and do all that's needed to secure the points out of the remaining seven games.

The interview with Perch can be found on Forest World.

James looked devastated on the interview, and his apology seemed genuine ! The bast way to apologise, whoever does, is to survive. If we do then we will of sucseeded in our aim. Then we can build !

And also, Perchy has taken the responsibility (as Captain) to hold a collective hand up for the whole team.

As noted above, silly as it sounds (as we lost five-nil) Perch and Morgan played OK as a pairing at Centre Back. Where we were taken apart was in the Full Back areas (yes, we know Luke Chambers "isn't a Full Back"; if not, why do we play him there then?) and we could not hold on to the ball in midfield, or create *anything* which is most worrying.

The players owe it to the supporters to put in a decent shift on Saturday; with results going as they did, and the teams below us gaining points again, we need to get something from the Wolves game, even if it is jut a point.

That said, Billy Davies has his work cut out to pick them up after yesterday!
