did anyone else see the pics of return to training on the official site?
I could not see Perch on any of them and also Anderson seems to have been given the number 7 shirt
does this mean he really is going to Portsmouth in a £100 million deal?

gone fishing.

Don't you remember BD saying he would use Perch in defence this season? Maybe that will result in a new number?

I believe Billy said that before he puts Perch in the center of defence that resulted in a 5-0 thrashing , i think after that result , Billy probably did a rethink since he did not play Perch there for the rest of the season. Perch can probably play as a right back and that's where i'll play him if not on the bench. Perch has no business being on the field as a midfielder , during our promotion season under CC , Perch wasn't a regular at all , CC had pretty much used him only as a squad player but because ND blocked the buying of Hughes during the last pre-season who we had on trial , Perch became a starter and regular in the side much to the side's detrimental.

I always like Perch's attitude - he's got a good engine (wait for the jokers). He had a load of potential which seemed to have been stifled by being in a struggling side. I think I'd like to see how he plays with better players around him before I pass judgement.

He was there but apparently he's pulled some ankle ligament or other and he had a plasticy/bubble wrap thing around it.

gotta agree with that I think Perch is well underated and he has suffered from being the most versatile player in our squad for the last 3 seasons, I'm sure once he's given arun in defence we'll see the benefits. I think people forget he was seen as the next big thing to come from our youth set up just before Harty left who saw him as a central defender - i guess time will tell!

Everyone seems to assume the numbers given on training shirts are the ones that the players are given at the beginning of the season. I can't see Adebola taking the number 9!!! And I don't think Wes Morgan is going to have CF on the back of his shirt next season.

Erm, Wes Morgan is wearing number 5 in them pictures, the CF is a fitness instructor or something like that.

The first thing that the players have to do before anything else on the first day back is to get weighed.

Perch weighed in at 12st - 6 pounds & 3.5 ounces.

And how do I know..............................................

He has scales on his back. lol

Sorry - I'll get my coat.
