Perch out for 3 months

This is why we have options in McKenna, Cohen AND Moussi. Last season, we'd have been f**ked already :D

Bad news in terms of cover for full-backs. We look very thin there. A single injury or suspension and we're f**ked.

I would say Perch was back up for right back this season (and also many other positions as well but predominantly RB) so makes it even more urgent that we get defensive cover in - we must sign a CB and LB at least before end of transfer window.

in fact we should have had this sorted by now....while i've been impressed with Billy's transfer dealings, I'm not impressed we're still in the same position as we were last season in terms of going into it with not enough strength in depth defensively. With Perch now out for 3 months, Bennett along the same lines reportedly and not ready to make a return until at least xmas, Wilson out with a knock currently, Moloney and Heath out on loan, we go into saturday with just 4 fit available defenders with first team experience, its not good enough.

It is bad news in regards to our defensive situation, need reinforcements immediately.Lucky only our back up defenders are injured, god help us if one of Lynch/Gunter/Wes picked up a long term injury.

Not a massive loss.

But a loss all the same.

Does this mean his transfer to Portsmouth (Portsmouth F.C) for £1M is off?

He can't be that badly injured. The man was dancing in Oceana last night.

Probably what caused it.

If he was indeed busting some moves in Nottingham's finest 36hrs before a game, I must say it's great to see that Billy has stamped out the partying/drinking culture within the club.

I'd be more worried if it was aplayer who hadn't already been out injured for sometime and was likely to be involved in the game...

So you're not that worried that the club captain, who has been out with a serious shin injury, is prancing around on the dancefloor at Oceania?

Well I b****y am!!!

As I say, if this story is true, the guy's a dick.

Footballers are entitiled to do whatever they want in their own time. James Perch, in particualr is a family man, who has, over the years proven to be very professional in his approach to the game and away from the game. He has never once been mentioned in the drunken debauchery and bad behaviour which has dogged this club for too long. I don't see any problem with a player going out, having a few and a dnace. If they get involved in anything else - slanging matches, punch ups, deficating on floors, then there needs to be serious questions asked...

If he was likely to be involved in the game tomorrow then I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever in my mind that he wouldn't have been there.

And just to split hairs, he's NOT club captain anymore.

Of course footballers can go out and have a few scoops and a dance, or whatever they choose to do.

However, Perch is meant to be recovering from a major injury to his shin, so going for a boogie is hardly likely to aid the recovery process is it? If he can't kick a ball, what's he doing kicking out some steps hey?

Pure stupidity, (I reitterate) if true.
