over the past 2 seasons, i have notcied how some thick headed supporters always clap and cheer ironically when smith throws the ball to his left or right back.

I think this would never happened to golden boy Camp, even though Smith is superior.

It cant do his confidence any good either

You sound suprised.

By the way, Lee Camp has only been bought to make Paul Smith look even better.

Camp has been bought to placate the fans.
It does not matter who is the better goalkeeper and everyone will turn on him quite quickly.

urgh......

davies doesnt rate smith, its obvious, thats why he got that chump from everton on-loan

we wanted westwood and kushack but was to expensive

so weve got camp.

camp is currently our number one keeper, its up to paul smith to prove billy wrong.

Please don't start this. You are correct but it will cause up roar and we will end up with a 20 page thread on who is better.

Facts suggest Smith is better purely because he keeps clean sheets they gurantee at least a point so as far as I'm concerned that is what's to focus on. I don't care how it's done but the keeper who keeps more clean sheets does a better job surely? Regardless of how the job is done the person doing the better job is the one that does their job more than the other in games and that is Smith.

However it could all change next season if he is going to be in goal then it has to change. Camp has to wipe out basic errors forget about fan appeal and just make sure the job gets done.

Once known as Nick.Doyle.nffc on 'ere.
lol, Who is better Camp or Smith, all over again.

Smith well, I think he has improved in his weak areas. There's games he has kept us in matches, Lee Camp his positioning I find is a little dodgey.

smith = good
camp = good

what we really need is one of those backing up a really really good keeper.

Gary

No wonder my post count..
Can we not start a f***ing Goalkeeper sub forum so I don't have to trawl through shit upon shit?

I'm sorry for being angry, but it's getting really really old now.

I agree with Gary.

And this is how the majority of this forum feels when the f***ing Smith Vs Camp argument rears it's head every minute

Who ever happens to be in goal on matchday is OUR keeper for that day. Do not jeer, do not taunt, do not boo, do not cheer sarcasticall, do not say "Smith/Camp would have got that", DO get behind the whole team.

And please, please, no more keeper debates!!

At the risk of maybe actually ending this argument once and for all...

WE HAVE BOTH.

It doesn't matter which one is better as long as it's the one in the team ::)

Smith's a League One GK..

Camp is a Championship GK..

Camp is numbero uno

Well that's not right they both play for us and we are in championship.

They are both average keepers. Neither is great but if you insist Camp is better do explain how Smith kept more clean sheets in comparison to Camp if you use his first 15 appearances and Camp's loan spell? same defence, similar side etc. etc. there aren't really any excuses are there?

Billy is building a squad here, we needed another quality keeper to push Smith.

Whether you're a Camp or a Smith fan, competition for places is vital.

They will both have to be playing well to get in the team, which is only good news for everyone.
