Bernard Allou, Garath McCleary, Gianluca Petrachi, Andy Impey, Andy Gray were all far worse for Forest at this level!

Same opinion i have with Cohen is the same opinion i have on Anderson can do better. Ando doesn't run at his man like he use to, I would like Mc Cleary to be given a chance as a winger.

I think he's moulded himself into a defensive winger, he is very good going towards his own goal!

I think he's becoming a very good player, although he's certainly not a traditional winger.

Im not sure what his input has been since about last Feb. He runs around a lot, and links up well at times, but he rarely scores and goals are rarely down to one of his passes/crosses.

As much as people dislike McLeary, when he plays he shows a willingness to run at his man and cause some trouble. He also puts in decent crosses that usually find Forest shirts. Give him and Adebola a chance.

Harsh to say he's the worst; as noted above, we've seen "sexy signing" Andy Impey playing for Forest.

Ando needs to work on his finishing; it's a bit like Tyson (and perhaps it's just confidence?) he doesn't look like he's going to score when he has the ball in front of goal.

I think he's been pretty woeful this season and seems to have 'Tyson syndrome' in the sense that he cant pass, cross, or shoot and relies purely on his pace. I've rarely seen him beat his man, and i think it speaks volumes that our left back Bertie has beeen a greater attacking threat than him recently.

I remember last season after Billy had left him out for the first 6/7 games of the season he came back into the team against Sheff Wed away and looked a class act. He had a decent run after that and then ran outta steam towards the end of the season. Certainly think we need to try something different, although i do not for one minute that playing Tyson there is the answer.

Paul Anderson is the worst player in our squad. Been shit for over a year now. Cant beat players, cant pass, cant cross, cant head the ball, cant control the ball. £250,000 paid for £250,000 worth of player

Bit of an over reaction this thread; he is just going through a poor patch of form but that doesnt make him a bad player. The same for chris cohen really; get behind the lad instead of criticising him when he does something wrong and maybe you will see a better paul anderson when he is full of confidence.

Dont get me wrong, he is far from the finished article but worst in the champs; dont talk out your ass!

poor patch that has lasted a year. Ok then

We all know he has it in him, but just lately he seems to bottle it when taking on players. I'd love to see him just keep talking on his player

Its not like he's just been a little biut crap though is it come on. He has been dire

He has been poor this season but so has chris cohen; it doesnt mean they are shocking players though. He has alot to learn i agree and is not good enough atm but to give up on him and call him our worst player is very harsh.

Ooops. I clicked 'Yes' when I meant 'No' because I didn't read the question in the first post before voting. :spankarse:

Other than Tyson, Anderson's one of the paciest and, although not giving the best of performances at the moment, I think we play better with him in the team than without him.

I too have been frustrated with his form. I just want to see him take his man outside and have a go. If he looses out then fair enough but he's got the pace to trouble most full backs. However, why o why does BD play his wingers on the opposite (wrong) sides? I just don't get it? Cloughie used to swap em over for short periods but no game in game out! If any of out wingers do manage to get beyond the full backs they have to cut back and play the ball back. Wouldn't mind if they were cutting in and letting one or two fly but it doesn't happen!! Really frustrating - can't help think it's defensive related and negative? Does it make them play narrower etc?

But when is this poor patch going to end. In case he hasn't noticed, we're trying to get promoted to the Premiership and he's letting the team down with half-hearted performances. Many occasions yesterday he had several opportunities to beat his man, but cut inside and played a slow pass to someone else. Thus slowing the attack down.

Oh dear. It seams some of us are in need of a new scapegoat as Chambers is playing well and Perch has gone. Good player for me and well worth his place in the team. Gives us balance and is flexible enough to play where Billy wants him. Works his socks off too. McCleary? He's done nothing to show me he is better. Runs fast but nothing at the end and can't defend either. Ando every time.

It seems the Forest supporter collective aren't content unless they have a player to lambast...

it seems that if you have a bit of pace then you can easily become a fans favourite at forest. I would much rather a winger that could cross because at the moment this is one of the weakest parts of our game. Why narrow the pitch and play fast wingers when there is no space for them to run into?

Yes Cohen was crap to start but his performances of late have seen an improvement.

and I am not trying to lambast Anderson at all he has been the worst player for us this season and for the latter part of last season. I am just trying to give MY honest opinion on him and it is obvious that I am not alone in thinking this.

I didn't say he was a favourite of mine.. I suppose it's not so much the expression of an opinion as the vitriol and exaggeration that goes with it from some.. the opening post being a fantastic example of this.. his poor patch that has 'lasted a year' according to one post has included his involvement in a fantastic move against Millwall (this season) that almost culminated in an awesome team goal, and a tremendous diving header that did yield a goal.

Of course, there have been moments of frustration too, but to suggest he's made no positive contribution is both insulting, an exaggeration and undermines whatever honest opinion may be being attempted to be put forward :)
