Paul Anderson?

On 606 they are saying he is awful etc,I don't think he has been playing that well recently with his final ball being poor as he is a winger. What's other people's stance on his recent performances?

I thought he had an okay-ish game today, but I'm not sure if it's tiredness or lack of confidence, but he didn't seem as quick/eager to take people on today

He hasn't seemed to take his man on in the last few games.

He definitely needs to work on his final ball/shot - but aside from that he's a great asset, and the people on 606 should concentrate on getting behind the team instead of laying into youngsters. Much like a lot of the crowd at the ground today.

He is a hot and cold player.
I think he has looked jaded lately and hasn't used his strengths (his pace).
He always looks more dangerous on the left.

I once watched Peter Anderson, aged 14, pull 106 gudgeon from the Trent, about three hundred yards from the Forest training Ground, in less than an hour.

Fly away Peter, fly away Paul...

Anderson is an important part of the changes at Forest that have made us contenders again.

A brilliant buy by Billy.

I have no idea how he is playing as I don't really like football. I'm more of a beer and cheese man.

Thanks Anatoli that was really worth knowing

Let them say he's awful.

Let them say he had a poor game.

And of Majewski too.

Then no-one will want to buy them off us in this Transfer Window....

Good point well made alex

Ando had his best 10 mins right before he came off, then we had our worst patch of the game, coincidence?

I thought he was poor. Didn't want to take his man on and he played some rather bizarre passes.

I dont think he was poor was just non existent for the first 20 minutes. One of the best players in the team on his day. There have been a couple of games now where he hasnt played/has been taken off and the team has seemed weaker. Monday against Coventry springs to mind

Well done Anatoli - your contributions are invaluable (as usual). I can imagine you enjoying processed cheese and smoothflow beer. Me? I go for Colston Bassett Stilton and Adnams Broadside. However, I felt that our game suffered AFTER Ando and Earnie went off.

I thought Anderson had a decent game today, looked dangerous in the first half if his final ball wasn't the best.

We're certainly better off with him rather than Garner or McCleary on the right.

Never really rated Ando.He couldn't cross a road or score in a brothel!.Vastly overrated be the forest faithful who on said forum thought we would have to pay 4m for him when in truth we got him for 275k.
He has pace to burn but never beats his man or gets a telling ball in.
The liveliest he looks is when he does that jinking run/header thing in the warm up!
Pace up front is vital to the way we play at the moment but Ando always flatters to deceive.
It always takes Forest fans about a year to realise what i knew straight away-that Ando ain't that good. ::)

On the contary, Anderson is well capable of beating his man and does so every game. His final product is inconistent admitedly but more often than not is still good.

He is a long way from being a finished product, but there is a hell of a lot of potential there and he is still an important member of the first XI.

Here's a thought - maybe Billy had asked Ando to play in a certain way but, so if he didn't seem like 'himself' its because the gaffer has requested something different from him for this game ( We've seen Cohen popping up on the right of midfield so we know BD likes to experiment with his players).

Couldn't score in a brothel ...... hasn't he already got 3 this season? (one of which coming in the Leicester game where he pretty much promised he would score us a goal)

That last line made me laugh :D - I'm sure you were a big (armchair) fan of Lee Martins last season :nowink:

I wouldn't have thought that Billy would have said to him "don't take on your man","try not to get any crosses in","keep giving the ball away" etc.
Play in a certain way-what rubbish...geeez!

Clown! Maybe BD told him to play a certain way but it just wasn't coming off for him today.

If Ando's so sh!t then who would you suggest as a replacement?
