I used to know someone from Melton, who played football with Anderson.
According to him, Anderson is a massive Forest fan and was thrilled when we came in for him. It is great to have players like this at the club

We had the same PE teacher at school (he taught Anderson at his school in Melton and then moved to mine in Loughborough). Apparently you could tell straight away he was special. All of his family are Hull fans though.

You're absolutely spot on. It's not as if our (joint) top provider of goals this season is Paul Anderson . . . not at all. Ultimately, Commons is a good player. No denying that. But he's lazier, older and fatter than Anderson. He was also more expensive. On top of that, he wouldn't have the pace that Anderson provides which is a key part of our system this season. I certainly wouldn't swap.

As for Anderson vs Commons, I for one hated commons while he was at Forest, mainly due to the fact that he had the ability but only used it in very short spells if that.
I would rather have Anderson in my team over commons anyday, Anderson is a winger, and very good one at that, he's still only 20 / 21 isnt he, I dont think he's doing bad.

Comparing Commons to Anderson is totally unfair - Commons is a slowcoach who could make so more of his talent. Anderson is a flying machine who seems intent on grabbing his opportunity.
Last season I'd have rated Commons over Anderson but not now. He spent most of last year running around like a headless chicken with very little end product but this season he's one of our most improved players.
The thing I really like about him though is that he has all the raw ingredients to be great! 250K?? Daylight robbery.
