Parking at Cardiff

Well ive never been to Cardiff before so i dont know what the parking situation is like around the ground. I was wondering if anyone had any information about street parking close to the ground or whether it is all secure car parks?

Parking is easy at cardiff mate. There is an athletics stadium on the same road as cardiff city stadium,as you come off the m4 its on your left before the ground, about 10 mins walk away, there is plenty of parking there .Despite negative comments i have never had any bother at cardiff in the last two years.

Well thanx for the responses good and bad haha. yeah the car goes everywhere to watch the reds so i spose ive risked it plenty of times before

I'll be leaving my car parked outside my house and making the 15 minute walk.

The athletics stadium tends to fill up quite early, so if you don;t make it in there, the next junction up (Lawrenny Ave) has quite a bit of room.

If you're happy to walk for 10-15 mins, there are plenty of residential areas around. IMO the 'safer' areas are to the north-west, off Lansdowne Road and Cowbridge Road. Just watch out for the residential permit areas, they're having a bit of a crackdown at the moment.
