Lynch returned tonight, and looks like Moussi and Ando will be back on saturday.

Agree with the sentiments totally though, even with them the squad is thin.

If we'd have kept the whole squad injury free for the whole season......

then I still think we would have done well to have battled to mid table this season. It was/is a tremendous gamble on several youth team players miraculously blossoming into seasoned professionals capable of performing at Championship level.

Davies was very damning there. I would of liked to be in the dressing room. His comments suggest that his mind is made up over some players. Maybe letting others down !

Very un CC like isn't he !

I do worry that this may ruin some of the youth lads though. !

you missed out arron davies who's injured aswell. Lynch returned tonight, but im scarcely bothered about him, Heath is miles better, and where was he tonight? not even on bench. Moussi clearly has returned this week to the reserves, but he wont be match fit and playing regularly i dont think for a few weeks at least. This month fixtures wise was always going to be a nightmare, some very tough games, especially away v cardiff, birmingham, ipswich and reading, and so far weve only picked up 1 point. However we havent helped ourselves by getting NO players in, either permanently in transfer window or on loan, leaving us with like you a say a paper thin, inexperienced squad to battle on with. Thats why clubs use the transfer window, coz its just gives you a little lift with some new faces for the second half of the season, when things start to get difficult. Unless you're a very lucky club and get no injuries ever or suspensions, then you need to make use of it. Ando wont be back for saturday no way, he's probably still a few weeks away too.

Whilst I do agree with his comments tonight I worry if the players have listened to it.

He basically said we're shit now but we're going to try and get the shit players to keep us up before we bring in better players next year. - that will give the squad a confidence boost!

WHY are we the only club in the league that CANNOT buy in January ... are you telling me there is NO better striker than Sinclair that we can get on loan and NO better left back than Lynch (like Mr Bean for example) that we could have signed.

I am starting to fear relegation again, I have not felt this negative since Doncaster ... but then again that's typical Forest, getting your hopes up and then comes the big fall.

Sort it out Forest!

That's a bit like saying "if only I hadn't crashed my car, I wouldn't have had to worry about not getting insurance."

Injuries happen in football. It's the manager's job to ensure he has adequate 'spares' to fill in the gaps that are certain to appear as the season progresses.

So CC left us with a thin squad, and BD gets no-one in January, and the loan activity looks non-existent publicly at least...

Blame the two managers or a higher power?

I've never been more worried, honestly. He dosen't have confidence in some of the lads,I do despair.I am beginning to have a terrible feeling that Billy is the right man at the wrong time for the job.We may as well have stuck with Calderwood if we weren't going to add to the side in January.

Difficult one to actually identify. I think I remember some quotes after CC had left along the lines of 'Colin wanted to have a small tight knit group' from either BD or MA, and of course this may or may not be true. I don't think we'll really find out until summer when BD has a proper crack at the transfer market.

Of course, it may all be too late by then...

I know its like chalk and cheese Cloughie knew which players could player which players can't.I'm not for one minute putting BD in the same bracket as Cloughie as that would be senseless,But BD has been their over a month seen who is capable who isn't.With him being honest is good as if your not good enough your not good enough no point taking passengers etc.BD knows what he needs and how to shape a squad if and i mean if we stay up don't be surprised for him to have a massive squad overhaul as the club need to have fresh blood and a group of winners.

We can't say oh these young lads be OK in 3 years time, the time is now and i rather have a group of winners than a group of schoolkids.I'm not saying lets get rid of MC Gugan Cohen etc because they have shown promise. The lads I'm talking about are the Heaths,Thornhill's,Sinclare's of this world as they are simply not ready at these stage and by throwing them in at the deep end will eithermake them or break them as a professional football.

So don't get too downhearted if BD is being honest because its only for the good of the club.I say gradually bring them in at 1st team leavel but not give them 20 games in row and ask them to be mistake free.Like Cloughie did with Crossley give him a few games get a taste of it then take him out to keep his feet of the ground.

Billy will be the right man when we have a good squad but not good enough to make the players play as well as CC managed?, not really a ringing endorsement
