Own goals - Deflections?

Does last nights deflection pretty much make it 5 in 3 games? I get a feeling the other teams may start changing their tactics to shoot at our defenders.

I'd say Wes Morgan is easier to shoot at than the net, and closer. It also seems like we let them run at us and take shots before trying to block it mid flight rather than going in for the tackle.

Thoughts?

Totally agree.
We do that thing of backing off and off and off then they shoot where it goes after that isnt the point. They should stop the shot form coming.

This is a good point. Shooting at Wes seems like a sure fire way of scoring against us right now. There must be something we can do about it, maybe closer marking in midfield? Billy must be looking at this, as it's costing us.

But if they weren't there to block it it would be heading for the goal anyway. At least we are getting in the positions to block it.

But I do agree we need to close down faster

Wes is the new McGoogan, he needs a diet! His fat arse keeps deflecting OGs in! :D

Either way we have alot of games until the january transfer and we can't assume some amazing CB is going to appear on the scene for us. May as well try and sort out what we have. I quite rated Joe Heath at LB when he got chance last season, would be good to see him pushing lynch for a spot. Might give Lynch the kick up the ar*e he seems to need.

Yes he would. Although when the ball came to him he would give it one of his pathetic palm away to the opposition attacker like he always does! ;D
