Hello, I hope you dont mind me coming onto your forum to give my opinions.

I am a Man City fan, but each year I place an Each Way bet as to who will win each of the four Lagues.

This year I went with Forest for the Championship and got a fantastic 25/1

Even at the start when you were drawing games, it was obvious that it was only a matter of time before things clicked.

Below the Premier League, I think there are a unique bunch of managers who are capable of getting teams into the Premier League, but will struggle afterwards.

Mick McCarthy, Joe Royle, Harry Bassett (you can see where I am going with this)

And Billy Davies is one of those managers (no disrespect meant whatsoever)

I think your forward line is the finest in the League bar none..Blackstock, Tyson, McGoldrick, Earnshaw; plus you have Paul Anderson who was an absolute steal.

A manager like Davies always has his team well drilled to ensure they are hard to beat and with those strikers you cannot fail to score goals

So whilst I have ulterior motives for Forest doing well, I genuinely would like to wish you all the best in gaining promotion back to where you belong.

The Premier League needs the big clubs in there, including yourselves, Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds.

Good luck...from a very long suffering City fan!!!

Cheers mate! I think Billy will have learned a few things after his Direby experience in the top flight, and his subsequent self-imposed time away from the game.

Hello Salford and a warm welcome to the forum. Appreciate your views, but re Davies in the Prem, his only attempt at it was flawed as the Dirby side he got promoted were a poor side and he received little support from the sheep regards money to invest.

Interesting times at the moment Trent side

I'd like to see Sheff Wed & Leeds in the PL, too big to be out of it but who would you like to see drop out of the PL ?

Wigan is one of them im sure as going to an away game there must be abit boring to say the least with the lack of atmosphere.

Hey Salford... I bet Adebayor didn't run up to the gunners this weekend.... ;)

Jokes aside, thanks.

this may be the start of a love in as i have a soft stop for City for many years(watched Cityv Pompey back in 84 at Maine Rd play a 2-2 draw).....this may be also down to the fact that i am and always will be a member of ABU(Anybody But United)

thanks for your views, living in Newcastle i do get a more balanced less bias opinion of Forest, and i know that most Newcastle fans are very worried about the form we are showing.....with a bit of luck fella your 25/1 bet will roll in and maybe you can donate some of winnings to the eastlands transfers fund...then you will have 5 billion and £25 pounds to spend on anyone you like

good luck in the cup against the Red S#it

As a patriotic Northerner, I want the Premier League full of Northern(ish) teams, but that will never happen!!!

However, I would prefer to have yourselves, Sheff Wednesday and Leeds in there at the expense of Hull, Wigan, Bolton.
Whilst it is superb for football in general that the "smaller" teams fight above their weight and reach the Promised Land (nothing derogatory intended), I just think that the Premier League would be a million miles in front of the Spanish and Italian Leagues in terms of quality teams and matches.

With regards Billy Davies, I think that like every manager coming up into the Premier League, he will struggle to attract the class of player that he would like as these players will go for the bigger wages elsewhere.

But as I said, you are a very well organised team in as such that you are hard to beat, just like Birmingham are at present and with the strikers you have on your books, you are almost guaranteed a goal a game.

See ya in the cup again then. Bein 7-1 odds again i'll have a punt like last year but hey, we could nick it... Oh, Tyson's fit again so don't expect any favours...lol.

Football is a north game. In the south its called politics.

That's the beauty of this game, any team could beat any team on any given day.

Just ask the Trafford Buccaneers at the Ronald McDonald Stadium!!!

no disrespect taken!!!!!

In all honestly he was given a few months, at a club, not really prepared to give him the time of day,
On evidence of his ability in the Premiership the above conclusion i dont believe can be drawn.

but thanks for having the time to find LTLF and feel free to stick with us and enjoy the ride.

I think Billy is a premiership level manager, and thats why he has been so successful at lower levels.

When he takes Forest up, I think you will see the true Billy (backed by a decent club and board) show just what he can do at that level.

I truly think Billy can stay at Forest 10 years or more.
