Our players out on loan?

Does anyone know how they're getting on. How many have we got out there at the mo anyway?

I hear Maloney is kicked arse at the Pies, so we can look forward to him coming back in Jan.

What about Aaron Davies? Any reports? Are there others?

Arron Davies has been starting most games whilst Matty Thornhill has been on the bench for Brighton. Think at the weekend Davies was on the bench whereas Thornhill started.. only to be subbed at HT.

Davies is doing well at Brighton from what I'm told.

My mate said he tends to drift in and out of matches, but when he's in them, he's very good.

Matt Thornhill, on the other hand, isn't doing so well. Can't get a game for them and when he does play, he looks awful apparently.

A Notts friend of mine has said Maloney has been superb for them

My mates dad works with Thornhills dad and apparently he hates it down there and doesnt know why Forest sent him. Bit of a treck, could have found him somewhere a bit closer, like the sadpies!

Probably part of the Lynch deal.

Maybe Arron Davies didn't want to get lonely. :leacock:

Heath was back in the Lincoln squad last week after he underwent an operation here at Forest.

Shane Redmond played the first game of the season for Burton Albion, let in 5 goals, was dropped for veteran Kevin Poole and they subsequently brought in Artur Krysiak on loan...so he's down to third choice, making the whole loan spell rather pointless.

A couple of friends of mine who have Notts season tickets rate Maloney very highly.

Lets be honest, Thrornhill was never any good. The fact he started 13 game for us last season has a lot to do with the fact we nearly went down if you consider the players who play in midfield now. McGugan can't even get a game for example.

I disagree completely.

He may be lightweight, but on the odd occasion when he played he was one of our best performers.

Whether or not this is due to him looking better playing with players better than him is a different matter.

He's not dreadful, don't get me wrong. But after so many seasons of rubbish I think we forgot what really good players players actually looked like. I'm not certain, but I'd imagine we lined up with Perch and Thornhill as our two centre midfielders a few times. Both likeable, local lads but come on, McKenna and Majewski are playing football at a completely different level.

That's all I mean, not a dig at him at all but he really hasn't got what it takes to play at Championship level and I think we're all seeing that now.

Thornhill had an eye for goal and used to take up some good positions in the box but he needed to bulk up a bit more and generally get more experience - shame if he doesn't get much game time at Brighton

I really rate Thornhill and am surprised things aren't working out for him down at Brighton. I remember the cup game away at Man City, undoubtedly the biggest of his career, he looked so assured on the ball and never panicked, always finding a red shirt even when under pressure and with little space. Add to that his decent scoring record and you've got a very promising midfielder.

Not one of the loan outs would get in the current squad, let alone starting 11.

I agree about Thornhill, technically a good player bit not good enough to be starting at this level when comparing him to say Majewski. I would say that potentially perhaps, but should be looking at League Two/One to be honest.
