Staring away from the obvious 2 sagas this summer, I think we definitely need to improve our attacking options. Adebola is not good enough and even on his return Mcgoldrick would have to change drastically to even slightly impress me.

So in terms of strikers who can we realistically go for...

I personally think we have to give the lower leagues a look... we did it with stan the man.

Charlie Austin made another decent start to the season bagging 2 in 2 and surely deserves a chance at the right price. Plus gives us something no striker does at forest.

Bret Pitman rejected a deal with Blackpool and seems to have championship clubs sniffing, hes bagged 3 in 2 and again surely worth a look and again would give us a different dimension.

I know we may be looking at a young lad in the prem but apart from a few, they are not proven and lets face it, Bellamy is a one off deal.

So whats your thoughts any name to put into the mix?

Ha ha, indeed. Hollaway said it would not break his wage bracket for anyone and clearly thats the case even with 90 mil in the bank. But lets face it they will come back down anyway, if they pocket the 90 and the 16 mils payments they are made as a club.
 
Pitman wasn't asking for big wages. He'd need to be on more than £10,000-a-week to break their wage bracket and someone who's only 22 and plays for Bournemouth will be on little more than £1,000 as it is so there's little chance he'd improve his pay tenfold.

I heard that he turned them down because their chairman resigned in the way he did and because of the rumours about bankruptcy that were circling.

He'd cost less than a million if we went in for him but it looks as though he might sign for Bristol now. I think we could do worse than go in for Simon Cox from West Brom. He won't play much in the Premier League but I think he's a quality player who showed his talent at Swindon.
 
I got Brett 'the Hitman' Pitman into the England team in Football Manager, and this was years ago. Always surprised me nobody has taken a punt on him.
 
How about Adam LeFondre? He's always popping up on scoresheets.
 
He has scored for fun in League Two but hasn't been tested in any other league as far as I'm aware. Would probably cost the best part of a million as well so probably not worth the risk.
