From the comments below the article it would suggest that Liverpool fans too find it offensive.

There will always be a minority idiots in any fanbase, certainly we have our fair share.

Also, what does this have to do with Forest?

after hearing and reading quite a bit in the last few days on here, including David Conn, an excellent journalist from The Guardians comments on a certain event, think this is relevent

If there was objection to the banner it wouldn't be there.

Look at when a few people brought an anti-Calderwood banner to the City Ground. It didn't last long as it wasn't a unanimous belief.

Equally, you'd think perhaps the stewards or officials of the club would see the poor taste and stop it.

I despise Liverpool.

I'm not trying to justify it, just that it might not be immediately apparent to the other supporters or stewards to remove it.

not an opinion on the banner but what it represents my mate an everton fan told me about this and wasn't too happy about it but liverpool will always do this everton fans are very bitter about this (well my mate is) because in his words they would have definitely won the european cup that year as were tipped mainly on the basis of them beating bayern munich in a friendly the classic we are the best cos we beat someone but then bayern went and lost in the final i always wind him up about it as we have obviously won 2 and there can't be guarentees they would have won like they claim, as i do with my mates who are leeds fans when they call themselves 'champions of europe', i obviously never take it to this level and it maybe is bad taste but when it comes to liverpool that is what we have to expect

I can understand their frustration - Forest missed out on a few years of European action too thanks to the ban, but there's no guarantees. I bet Liverpool thought they might get past the first round when we beat 'em...

United fans have got no right to complain. If their multinational corporation had any balls they'd have held a minute's silence for Clougher. Instead, the spineless c*nts let Liversh*t fans bully them into submission.

Given the relationship between Clough and Ferguson, you'd think old beet-face might have spoken up.

Both as bad as each other, f*cking Home Counties scumbags.

they booed the minutes silence for clough if I remember right, and cheered when his death was announced. I wouldnt be surprised if we get promoted if the ****s dont start singing anti clough songs and holding up banners to do with his death

There've been plenty of other fans who've sung defamatory things about Clough this season, the season before that and the one prior.

Why single out them for something they've not done yet? :)

Don't take things so personally... such things are generally only participated with by a minority of knobbers.
