Was there no minute silence planned to remember the Hillborough victims this afternoon or was it just another f*** up by the ref who forgot??

After the disgraceful response to the silence at the Under 21's game, it's possible the club felt it wasn't worth the negative publicity.

What happened?

It was blighted by morons talking, laughing, singing and setting off air horns. The longest sustained period of silence totalled about 4 seconds.

Watching it, I was ashamed to be from Nottingham.

That was an England game.
Yes it was in Nottingham, but there were people there from all over the place, not just Nottingham.
Why on earth are you assuming the twats who shouted out were local? They could just as well have been from Sheepville.

Because about a minute prior, the whole place was in raptures singing "Psycho, Psycho."

Unless Derby fans love him these days?

because a lot of people i know myself included would not have agreed with it! let me explain if a disaster happens lets have a minutes silence i agree but 20 years on i think the scousers have milked it for long enough also what about a minutes silence for the heysel tragedy which i might add was caused by scousers turning up without tickets which they also did at hillsborough you have to draw the line somewhere or you would be having a minutes silence every week!

just for our club to show its respect to the 96 who died.
Sheffield city centre and Nottingham city centre did a silence. if 96 of our supporters died that day wouldnt you want anfeild to do a minuites silence?

NEWARKREDS!

Maybe because Hillsborough was a disaster involved two English teams, one of which was ourselves?

Minutes silences are pointless and far too 'preachy'

Well, Liverpool fans should remember that fact instead of singing "we hate Nottingham Forest" at every match. Also when a minutes silence was held at Anfield for the passing of Brian Clough the silence was broken after only 10 seconds. Scum.

So Liverpool football fans are going to have to be all as good as gold before we will be prepared to pay our respects towards the worst footballing disaster in this country's history?

Do you really need NFFC to arrange a minute of your life in order for you to 'pay respect'?

Just because some idiots disrespected the natural passing of our former manager, it doesn't make it right to disrespect the lives of 96 people whose time was tragically cut far too short. I think when you really understand your own mortality, you will understand why it is right to share one minutes respect for people who should still be around, regardless of any previous mindless reactions from Liverpool supporters.
