On the way out!!

According to Old Jom on Vital (who I am aware of has very close links to the club) Tyson, McCleary, Smith, and Adebola have all been told they can leave the club...

Tyson - It is a shame but I am not suprised, he hasn't been the same player since his injury and lacks football intelligence in my opinion.

McCleary - I think he has potential and would be sad to see him go. Onwards and upwards though.

Smith - Not a bit bothered in the slightest, a young youth goalkeeper we have is getting high plaudits I read... (Darlow)

Adebola - Again, one of those that can do a job but if we are aiming for the prem, he is not going to fit in. If we were to get another striker then I'd expect him to go!

Naturally, all rumours are taken with a pinch of salt, but worth a debate none the less...

Hasn't Smith just signed a new two year deal? Hard to see him leaving if that's the case.

Adebola maybe, alot of people think this could be his last season in the game and I wouldn't begrudge him a move somewhere he can play first team football.

I'd be disappointed to see McCleary go, he has bags of ability and with a little more experience under his belt he could be a real asset.

Tyson, I dunno... he was poor this season and looks unlikely to get a role as a central striker which I imagine is his preferred position.

I'd be surprised to see us selling unnecessarily as we need to build the squad, not make sweeping changes.

I know Jom and have met him before, he is a good guy and has corporate connections with Forest and I am sure he is friendly with the staff he meets through that because he comes accross as nice guy.
He has a rep of being fairly accurate when it comes to teams coming and goings.

Tyson, has failed at Forest in the Championship and might make it elsewhere in the CCC but I think he is fighting above his weight. He is a one trick horse and exciting as that might be to watch sometimes he end product is seriously lacking.

Adebola, I do like this guy but he is a few years past his use by date and Forest do not need to have players amongst their ranks who are not cabable of playing a full 90 on all cylinders firing and that means that he has to go.

I wonder if some of these players might get snapped up by the Muttons? Tyson might especially if non-league Nigel can get him on a free.
McCleary, I think this guy will go on to be a good player for another team as soon as he drops his cockyness and acts more like a team player. Has bags of talent and pace and when he matures his game he will come good.

Smith, needs to be playing football week in and week out and he is not going to get that at Forest I'm afraid. It would be better for him as well as Forest if he did move on.

Smith is wasted on our bench, surprised he signed a two year contract considering he could easily go on and be first choice goalkeeper at another Championship side.

If Camp's form carries over to next season then he's not going to get a look in at Forest anytime soon.

Would be sad to see McCleary go, and Smudge as well but if he wants first team football he'll have to leave really.

Adebola is great to have in the squad but as said he's not got much football in him and he's not going to get many games for us next year so fair enough.

Tyson, as much as i want to like him he just wasn't good enough this season, he's missing a few fundamental things that you have to have to be effective at this level, composure being the main one. Yeah he's been played out of position, yes he's shown glimmers of magic, but still i wouldn't miss him if he left (as long as we get someone in who can play left wing better, which frankly isn't hard).

Whether any of this is true is a whole other matter.

can't let mcleary go, i can see him becoming a truly great winger, pace and real skill to go past a player. As well as this hes clearly worked on his game in the form of passing and crossing, which have both improved dramatically.

Keep Mcleary and Smudge, ship out Tyson and Adebola - id be well happy with that. That would mean we would have to sign another striker as we would only have 3 - Earnie, Dex and Garner. Mcgoldrick wont play up top

What baffles me is why Perch is not on that list, he is bar far the worst one of the lot and the first player i would have sold..

I'm totally unconvinced by Old Jom.

If it was from Old Jam, I would believe every word.

Old Jim is also good for tips who is leaving the club, or he was until he died the other week.

McCleary? Yes, let's get one of stars of the future that we got for next to nothing go....

So. You're sweet on Old Jam then?

Adebola is awful, he cannot cut it at this level anymore. Misses far too many chances and even his ability to win headers has deserted him. Can see him going on a free to Peterborough to link up with Gary Johnson again.

Tyson has not lived up to the hype when we signed him, all pace but poor first touch and finishing means he will never be anything more than a medicore player at this level. Great bloke and always gives 100% but time to move him on.

McCleary is a decent enough squad player and can make a decent impact off the bench. He will be on pretty low wages so I would keep him around for another year to see if he can develop further. If he could develop more of a footballing brain then we could have a good player on our hands.

Smith is excellent back up but his wages could probably be better used elsewhere in the squad.

I've heard Sheffield Wednesday were interested in Adebola.

I think it is essential to have a top quality keeper as back up. weve got that in Smith. If he went and Camp got a long term injury, we'd be stuck wit a young lad with no experiance.

As long as he is happy to stay, we should keep hold of Smith. It will also keep Camp on his toes knowing he's got a top keeper wating in the wings

Does Smith being under contract make him worth more than Smith out of contract..................

Yes.

It means the club dictates whether he goes or not.

In contract=get a fee for a player if you want one.

Out of contract=no fee for a player.

Smith is going nowhere, though. He said so himself, and the club clearly don't want him to, otherwise they wouldn't have given hima new contract.

Whoever said Darlow was looking promising aren't really watching games. He's good for his age, but he's a long way from first team ready in my opinion.

Is it only me who thinks McCleary is shit? He would have made it by now if he was going to make it. No end product, just nice boots.

Much like Camp's arrival on loan improved Smith, Smith's presence in the squad serves as an incentive for Camp to never rest on his laurels. Camp knows that if he drops his standards Billy will have no hesitation in bringing Smith into the team, I can't see the same being true with a youth team keeper.

Keep Smith as back up, let him go on loan with short notice recall if you must, if this Darlow is any good then he MUST be sent on loan to gain some relevant experience.

Is it only me that truly believes James Perch is without doubt is utterly and totally shit and cost us big time in the play offs and as a result should be put on the transfer list with immediate effect, the bloke is so bad i cringe every time i see him play:eek:
