Might be also down to the player not wanting to out of pocket short term.

We’ll have paid a loan fee to Arsenal, so we should just take that full hit. They should rip up his deal, he forgets about being on 150k a week for the next 4 months and happily takes that longer term contract offer from Ajax on less money p/w.

You're looking at a drop from 150k per week to an absolute maximum of 50k, can't blame him for not fancying that

Yeah and it's highly likely that part of Zinchenko agreeing to move on is that he gets paid up by us or at least ¾ of it.

If a player moves from a club on a permanent deal, it is the responsibility of the selling club to pay the difference in wages.
Sometimes the selling club will accept a lower bid to allow the buying club to pay the player more (we did this with Lewis Grabban)

Hard to see anyone coming to an agreement here, seems like we'll be stuck with him until the end of the season as I can't see Arsenal doing us a favour

150k a week in the bomb squad is an impressive waste of money though, lets hope we don't double down by adding Sterling because that's exactly where he'll end up too

Edu should pay it out his own pocket for having us over with what can only be described as charlatan masquerading as a footballer.

Ey?? He's signed for Ajax now hasn't he?

Likely there'll be a tweet from Arsenal shortly to say he's on his way to Ajax

So Zinchenko leaves us having played 5 times in the league (We lost 4 and drew 1 - the 4 we lost we also didn't not score)

He played 3 games in Europe which were OK we won 2 and drew one.

Then contributed to us being knocked out at the earliest opportunity of both domestic clubs with him being involved as we lost to championship clubs.

Overall a pretty bad record, added nothing, time to move on an pretend it never happened.

Can we set up a new subforum called 'Ex-Players we want to immediately forget'
Let us face it, pretty much everyone in that sub-forum falls in to that category anyway, apart from maybe Brennan Johnson.
