just found a few pictures of the city ground i took few yrs back thought you might like a look ive attatched them i think ...:eek:
 
Thanks for these! I remember the Trent End, it being knocked down and the new Trent End bring built - I can't for the life of me remember the old Bridgford Stand. Even though they were both developed around the same time.
 
cheers chaps ive been dying to scan em for yrs but its a right ball ache ,went down a few times whilst they knocked it down ,wonder if anyone else has any pics,could do with the mods starting a picture gallery...or is there one ??????????????????????

Not sure about a general gallery, but if you click your "My Profile" link at the top of the page, then on the left side of your profile page there's an Album section, just below the list of friends you have on here. You can upload pictures there and then link them in posts like any other link.

Also, I suspect Ken Smales would be delighted to see those pics - they're interesting and different, and the sort of thing he has on his fantastic, if eclectic & slightly chaotic Forest Forays website .
 
If I remember right, the New Bridgford End went up 1992-93. It was definitely open May 93 cos I was in the top corner when we were relegated/Cloughie's last match.

As late as that. Gosh, I always imagine the entire ground was rebuilt in 1981 using the European Cup money.
 
god I can remember standing in the old bridgford end when I was around 11-12 only moved over to trent end when it got knocked down, and then onto A block when trent end went. awesome pictures brings back memorys
 
Yeah great photos. Its good to look back at pics like this of the CG before the Taylor Report ruined the place with those all seater stands. As mentioned above i'm sure Ken Smales would appreciate a look at these, he may put them onto his website.

One of my mates has recently started scanning his Dads old photos and putting them on faceybook - i'll try and dig some out later. He has some good pics of the old Bridgford Stand and old East Stand from the 70s. I have pics somewhere of me standing in the old Bridgford & Trent End terraces, not sure i can be ar$ed to find them though!
 
Me and my mates always used to stand in the old Trent End when I first going to watch Forest. The Bridgeford End was always considered a bit boring - all the singing and jumping about and stuff and young fans was in the Trent End, the Bridgford End was considered to be for fuddy-duddies; Well it was by us anyway!

One day we decided to watch a game from there for a change, and we were right about the atmosphere; there wasn't one!
We couldn't believe though how much better the view of the game was and how light and airy it was; We could breathe and could stand in one spot without being pushed down the steps every 5 minutes by a 'surge'. lol

Of course, for certain big games, when there were a lot of away fans, the atmosphere in the BE was probably much better, sometimes the empty sections used for segregation would be opened up and there was only a fence and a line of coppers between the two sets of fans. I can't remember seeing any trouble in the ground though.

I'm fairly sure the club used to call the Bridgford End 'The Kop' in those days too, and there was a flootlight pylon that was stood right in the middle of the away fans' corner and sometimes they used to climb up it.

my dads got a vhs in the attic of us vs liverpool, i think it was the first premiership same when pearce blasted in afree kick and its got all of the bridgeford end being built and i couldnt believe it
 
year after mate, bridgford end was demolished at the end of the 91/92 season and then we were relegated in 92/93
 
Qality pictures mate

I used to stand in the old trent end, around 85 season i started being taken with the dad. I can always remember peering over the concrete block and through the bars in the fence. Whever we scored, all the kids clambered up the fence to the top. The old trent end used to be packed out and the atmosphere in there seemed amazing, god how i miss the terraces
