I have been going down to the CG for 40 years, and through the 70's and 80's we had the trent end t lead the atmosphere, (it was Great)
then we built the new City Ground...
This season is the 1st for years we have got an atmosphere back, week in week out, there is singing, and banter..
the trent end sing , the bridgeford upper sing, the a&b block obviously, and the rest are joining in, even against leics, i sat in the lower BC , and people STOOD UP without once hearing "SIT DAAARNNNN" ONCE

This is my worry , its taken 20 years to get an atoms back , if we move we have god knows how long it will be with silence, like old trafford, arsenal, man city and even bolton, sunderland, middlesboro, and the rest...

Maybe if we move we can have one or two dedicated singing stand/sections behind the goals :)

I agree. Give us a Kop and the other end behind the goal. Shove the away fans in a corner.

I really hate the idea of "kop" stands but if we had one I'd put the away fans next to it to be drowned out.

Im sure when the ground is built someone will start a website up to get all those that sing sat in one area of the ground?

or maybe they will all just have my idea and sit in what ever block is right next to the away fans.

but it will take time but the atmosphere will be there.

saying that though whos knows where forest will be 8 years from now? we might even be in the champions league.

I think that is probably due to the performance of the team for a good proportion of the last 20 years more than anything else!

That's most certainly true. However, when the team is struggling they need our vocal support far more in order to lift their spirits and spur them on. A lot of our fans are far too fickle and will sit there silently if we're a goal down but suddenly find their voices when we score. The hallmark of a really good set of home fans is constant noise. This in turn creates an extremely intimidating atmosphere for the away side.

As we've seen our performances and results improve so has the supporting singing, chants and cheers and this shows on match day with the level of noise produced from all corners of the City Ground. The atmosphere is much improved and I'm positive the players feel it and see it as encouragement. The 12th man and all that jazz.

As for away supporters, I agree they should be moved but they still need to be in a position to be heard as this is a contributory factor to the banter and noise created in reply.

so true.. the atmosopheres at these grounds are awful (partly down to the fact that away fans are shoved up in a corner somewhere and detracts from the banter between home away fans!)

It's difficult to keep a noise level up when you are constantly sat on your arse.

Well if you can talk out of it surely you can sing aswell? :p
