I mean, at the end of the day it’s a bunch of millionaires kicking a ball around. At what point, at my age, do I decide I’ve got better things to worry about and more importantly better things to enjoy?
The problem is that it has ramifications that impacts regular folk whose incomes are in some way dependent on Forest, and the consequences of relegation will be financially rough for the city as a whole

Just home after a disappointing day in Brighton, but still a few things I take from today.

The change of system worked and it was good to see the manager being proactive when things aren't working.

Cunha was good and has maybe moved ahead of Morato. Netz was also good and brought a lot of energy that was sadly lacking. Pleased to see Taiwo as the bench option rather than Lucca.

7 points from Palace, Leeds and Wolves was what we needed. We got 2

Taking a point from Liverpool at home would have helped. We got 0

Those extra 6 points would have made all the difference.
If only Postecoglu had managed 4 points from his 7 games rather than 1 we'd be a lot more comfortable.
That's where it all went wrong.
He gave the entire league a 7 game head start.
We've been playing catch up ever since. And failing.

Very poor.

Watching Brighton waltz through us with ease was embarrassing. Every time you see Brighton, it’s bloody obvious you either low block or everyone presses man for man. We did neither well. Brighton time and again waited for 1 or 2 to press and 3 passes later were through us. Nothing complicated, just pass and move and repeat.

I’m not a millionaire manager and I can see it so why the hell do we not learn

We scored the goal when it did matter, though.

I remember being told when I was young that you're at your most vulnerable just after you've scored.

They should know that and should have tightened up for a few minutes after the restart.
This has been another common theme this season. Letting in goals at all the critical times when they should be concentrating most. Just before half time, just before full time, just after scoring, just after a controversial referee decision.

They don't appear to have been well coached for a while and frequently demonstrate poor basic game control as a group and individually.

Same as the set pieces etc.

Didn't he start his Wolves stint with 5 defeats, and then go on to win six consecutively. I see to recall this was earlier in the season than now. It does feel bleaker than it did during Cooper and Nuno's first seasons but we need to keep our nerve over the next few weeks.
So he won 6 in a row between 15th March and 26th April brilliant we might think? Let's do it again with Forest! We demand, then look at the games and grimace.

He beat Southampton (20th), Ipswich (19th), Leicester (18th), Tottenham (17th), Man U (15th) and West Ham (14th). The brackets show those clubs final positions so basically they beat the other worst 6 teams in the league.

In fact the bottom 3 were so bad last year that our current points total would have seen us safe.

I’m finally back on a train from Brighton. My main takeout was that in the first half we had a worse defence than Ayatollah Khamenei.

But at least we live to fight another day.
Unlike the Ayatollah Khamenei.

what an away day.
Neco was really poor today, his decision making was bad. Anderson continues to underperform, but his second half free kicks were better than usual.
There were times when MGW was in our right back position looking for the ball, which feels sub-optimal.
I thought the tactical change worked, we looked much more intense, and actually liked Bakwa’s intent to get shots away.
Glad to see Netz get some time, he loves to get forward and seemed neat and tidy with the ball.
Murillo looked like he *really* wanted to be somewhere else.

Regardless of whether it should have been VP or Dyche, 10 games to go, and we need clean sheets and goals. Still.

The most depressing thing is not that we have bad players. It's that we have good players who are performing like bad players. We're watching a decent side fall apart before our eyes. Williams has been brilliant this season -- he's become a liability. Murillo is a superstar in the making -- he was dreadful today. Sangare, who has been running the show for us , was anonymous. Anderson is half the player he was. CHO is medicore.
The only one of our "stars" who has upped his game is MGW.
I do therefore applaud Pereira for being brave enough to bring in young players like Cunha and Netz and create a shape in which they just might be effective. (Though please, please not Bakwa.) He at least showed some capacity to react to that awful first half. I'm not at all confident that it will be enough but I'd rather we try something different instead of going meekly to the slaughter.

Thats actually what i'm angry at, two blocks of players were on different wavelengths regarding the press and that was from the 2nd minute until just before half time. Either we're going at them or we're sitting in, our defenders and Anderson seemed to be looking to sit in while everyone else were trying to press but because it wasn't man for man it fell to complete pieces and the amount of times i saw 3/4 Brighton players running through the centre with a lone Sangare facing them - it was grim.

The only shred of hope i took out of that is that we did improve when we changed formation. Jair Cunha has played himself in, Netz too maybe. The managers willing to change (he bloody ought to).

To be fair to Ange 3 of his 5 games were games we'd probably not be expected to get anything from regardless.

Sunderland have proven since that they're a good side so in hindsight the result makes more sense.

Burnley was the one we needed to win and we should've done but for (surprise surprise) shoddy finishing.

With how comprehensively shite we were I forgot all about Netz today. I think he looked really promising. He defended well and he was surprisingly good and comfortable playing on tight areas. His passing was decisive and quick too. At least we've got a good option there to give Neco a rest.

We definitely need to try switching Ando out and playing with MGW deeper and Taiwo off Jesus or playing with two No10's and a back 3. We've got to do something different to start getting goals out of this side because with the current configuration, and to be frank, w*nk forward line we're sleepwalking into the championship.

Agreed-but I’m starting to think we’re done regardless.

Excuses. Why is it people are so quick to excuse one of the worst Premier League managers of the last 3 years? He took Spurs to 17th and he was taking us down.

Using your logic given every game Dyche managed we massively overachieved because we picked up points despite them all being above us in the table apart from West Ham and Wolves where we got 4 points from 6.
